Charming old chalet in the middle of Dolomites

Fascinating and unique chalet in a wonderful mountain setting, a real full immersion in the snow and in the montains, a walk away from Dolomiti Superski ski area The space The chalet is very charming and lovely furnished with antique objects and furniture. It has been refurbished from an old cattle barn. Although well renovated, all the features of an old cabin with a '800 century life style have been kept and are partially still used. The old wood-burning stoves, the traditional tools, an antique wood-burning kitchen stove, and the vintage wooden ski give to this unique place a lot of charm. There is no electricity, no washing machine, no TV, no Wifi, very little of the modern life! It is an authentic and therapeutic life experience. There are few solar panels that will guarantee battery charging of your devices and light in the common spaces. Still, the bedrooms and the bathroom are lightened with candles offering a romantic atmosphere. The wood-burning stoves are perfect to keep you warm during the winter. In summer, near the house, there is a shepherd's hut and a cow shed where local cows comeback to after grazing on alpine pastures! During the winter you will forget using the car. You can get out putting your ski directly from the house. After a 10 minutes walk/skate on a snow path you will reach the ski-lifts stations of the Dolomiti Superski network of 1.200 km of slopes in the most spectacular Dolomiti mountains. You will experience a full immersion of nature, in the silence, snow, wood, pristine and remote landscape. During the winter : the stay is only on DBB base (Dinner, Bed, Breakfast ) and/or BB base (Bed and Breakfast). Breakfast is included, while dinner is 25 EUR/person (wine and dessert excluded) and 18 EUR/child (under 10) and can be booked directly with the host. The breakfast, prepared by the host, compromises a rich italian breakfast with butter, jam, honey, traditional bread, yoghurt, cornflakes, biscuits, etc. from 8.00 to 10.00 a.m. Dinner is available as an home-made traditional Italian cuisine (vegetarian on request). The dinner menu consist of an italian first course plus a fresh vegetable salad (Fennels salad, Green salad, Radicchio salad, Peperonata, etc) with some cheese or speck etc. Extras are available at guest request : - Italian desserts (tiramisù, strudel, almond/ chocolate pudding, kaiserschmarren) are available on request : 6 EUR - Red wine/prosecco : 14 EUR bottle In winter, the host will stay in the cabin to guarantee all the confort and care for the guests. No self cooking is allowed. In summer : the host will not be present during the stay and the guests will organize breakfast and dinner by themselves, no DBB available. The minimum period in summer is 10 nights, in winter 6 nights. Guest access During the winter, the host will stay in one room in the attic, on the third floor. All the rest of the house is available for the guests. During the summer the attic is closed for guests. On the lowest floor there is the kitchen and dining room, with a french window opening on the outside grass (or snow) fileds. The middle floor has access to the road, and features the entrance, the bathroom, the living room, and the guest's bedrooms: one room with bunk beds and another room with a french size bed. Bed and bathroom linen is provided for each guest. In winter, a hot shower in the antique brass bath tub of the wooden bathroom will be ready for guests starting from 5.00 p.m and heated with a wood-burning boiler.
