"ZEN OAKS- THE ECO FARM STAY" We are an ecofriendly farm stay located amidst the pristine Oak & Pine forests in the hills of Kasar Devi known for its cosmic energy. Once a home for likes of Swami Vivekananda & Bob Dylan has been a huge draw for artists, spiritual seekers, free thinkers , philosophers for years. We at Zen Oaks believe in the true essence of Zen & strive at giving our guests an experience which is enriching, relaxing and at harmony with nature . The space We are an eco farm stay in the village Sirkot, Kasar Devi. Our farmstay is on the slopes of the hills surrounded by Oak & Pine forests. We have a double sharing mud & stone cottage which is naturally lit & has an amazing mountain view. We also have a 4 bed cottage for families & groups alike. For backpackers & budget travelers, there is a bunk bed dormitory which can house 8 guests. all cottages have attached washrooms & a garden space infront of the porch. We have created quaint little corners which are a perfect space for your evening tea & bonfires & hammocks for you unwind yourself. There is an inhouse kitchen where we serve our guests organic seasonal harvest & Kumauni cuisine.Peace, Tranquility and Serene beauty would best describe our off-beat Jungle Retreat. Nestled within a deep Pine Forest approachable by Road. More than hundred different exotic species of birds occupy the forest. Our property is surrounded by caves to be explored and a nearby Waterfall. Equally amazing for families and couples. ZENOAKS boasts of a on-site multicuisine cafe. We mostly serve wood chulha cooked 100% Organic, Pure and heart warming meals. We specialize in Jungle style cooked local cuisines both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian. # Nearest Railhead is Kathgodam railway station with direct trains from Delhi, India. # Nearest air connectivity is Pantnagar airport (3 hours Drive). # Nearest city Almora (8 kms). Guest access The entire place is accessible to all our guests & we encourage our guests to involve in our plantation efforts across the hill. we have also marked trails to explore the hill and find their own perfect sunset spots. During your stay This is my home & i am available throughout for our guests for any help or cooperation. In rare case of my absence, there will always be someone to help you. Other things to note We urge our guests to carry their own Water bottles and A carry bag for any plastic you bring as we are earnestly trying to keep our hills plastic free
