Settler & Sons- Cosy cottage in central Ballarat

Drift off in plush, king sized beds and luxury linens, sink into a hot bath, gather next to the crackling wood fire and pour yourself a wine in our pretty pink kitchen. Our home-away-from-home is a leisurely stroll from beautiful Lake Wendouree, the best food, coffee and bars in town, the hospitals and Ballarat CBD. The space Settler & Son’s is a 1930’s Californian bungalow that offers a cozy place to stay in the heart of beautiful Ballarat. Self contained with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and European laundry, 1 living space, a dining area and well equipped kitchen. The house is filled with original character and charm such as lead light windows, original timber floorboards and fireplaces. Our well equipped kitchen includes a bar refrigerator, electric oven and gas cooktop, a microwave, a kettle and toaster and is well appointed with cooking utensils. Also supplied is a quality coffee machine, The Cottage Herbalist loose leaf teas, Grounded Pleasures drinking chocolate, marshmallows and Panela sugar, milk, salt and pepper and olive oil. Each plush, king sized bed is dressed with luxurious linen bedding, cosy doonas and fluffy pillows. The bathroom is fitted with a claw foot bath, separate shower and a heated towel rail. Bath sheets and luxury body products from Grampians Goods Co. are supplied. The house has one working wood fireplace as well as ducted heating and evaporative cooling. Curl up on one of two sofas or the leather armchair by the fire with one of our linen quilts to read a good book, watch a movie, enjoy the free WiFi or take a nap. Outside- undercover outdoor area with dining table and chairs, fairy lighting, fire pit, herb garden to pick from and manicured lawn areas front and back. Parking- there is secure, off street parking available for one vehicle via rear access. Laundry- European laundry with washer/dryer combo and laundry powder supplied. Table top ironing board and iron supplied. Location- a short walk to Lake Wendouree, multiple cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs all with great food and coffee (Eclectic Tastes, Webster’s, The Lakeview, The Boathouse, Racers, Johnny Aloo - all within 5 mins walk) with both hospitals, The Ballarat Base and St. John of God just a few minutes walk. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is 11am. If you wish to arrive earlier or stay later we recommend booking an additional night. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire property except for one room which is locked for private storage.
