Welcome to our home! Nord Foire is an accessible and welcoming neighborhood in Dakar. You immerse yourself in the life of Dakar by arriving here with local shops (Dia 5 min walk), typical small restaurants (dibi meat etc.), bar, Yengoulene club 5min walk and especially Yoff beach 10 minutes walk. 15-20 min from Dakar center, 15 min from the Renaissance monument, 15 min from the island of Ngor (beloved of France Gall), 15 min to the port towards the island of Gorée. The space This is our family and vacation house and my sister Ansara lives on the ground floor and can welcome you and help you in your stay. Every morning you can have breakfast before your departure for a walk if desired! There is Wifi in the house. In Senegal it is nice and warm, so you will have access to a first terrace right after the arrival gate as well as a second terrace inside the house. These are the only smoking spots in the house - the house interior is non-smoking. You will have a key to be able to access the accommodation and your room and you will have to be careful during your comings and goings to close everything behind you. There is no running hot water (in summer it is very hot!) but you can heat the water directly in your room if desired. In the neighborhood there are often water outages, unfortunately we can't do anything about it but Ansara shows you how to make your water reserves. Guest access You will have access to the ground floor with its kitchen, living room, dining room and 2 outdoor terraces; but also to the 1st floor with access to the private rooms - access with your own key. In Senegal, water and electricity is precious, thank you for paying attention. There is no running hot water (in summer it is very hot!) but you can heat the water directly in your room if desired. If you want to use the kitchen for your lunch and dinner, you can and you will find on site cooking facilities and keep your food in the fridge. The 2nd floor is not accessible to passing guests. The roof terrace is currently under renovation. During your stay Ansara lives on the ground floor and will be available to greet, guide and assist you during your Senegalese stay. It's not always easy to find yourself in this new culture so Ansara will show you the best ways to stroll around Dakar and discover Senegalese culture no matter how you travel. If you need a guide in the city or country, you can discuss it with her. Other things to note If I am not physically present during the period of your passage, it is my sister Ansara who will be present and who will exchange with you.
