Talland Bay Hideaway close to the beach

Welcome to The Hideaway, your comfortable and well-equipped holiday apartment, tucked away on the hillside in the beautiful surroundings of Talland Bay in Cornwall's 'forgotten corner'. Just a 5 minute stroll down the hill and you'll be on the rocky beach or the south-west coastal path. The perfect romantic bolthole to hide away from reality amid the beauty of south-east Cornwall. Autumn/Winter stays: Longer stays are invited during the low season. Please enquire for more info. The space The spacious one-bedroom apartment is tucked under our family home and is accessed by a number of steps with a handrail (about 12) to its own front door. There's a spacious entrance hall for boots/coats/etc, a large double aspect bedroom with and an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. You'll have your own private decked area with lovely views over the 13th century parish church and to Talland Bay beyond. The South West Coast Path is close by, with Polperro and Looe within easy walking distance for keen ramblers. If you have a very little person who'll fit in a travel cot, they're welcome to come too. We have provided a travel cot and bedding and also a high chair. Guest access The steps (about 12 with handrail) take you down to your own front door, from where there are views across to the ancient St Tallanus church and a glimpse of the sea beyond. Out the front of the apartment there's a spacious private deck with picnic table/bench for your own private use. Other things to note One medium sized dog or two smaller dogs are welcome to join you. There will be an additional charge (£30) to cover the additional cleaning time necessary to make the apartment beautifully clean for the next guests. For obvious reasons, pets are not permitted on the furniture and must not be left alone in the apartment. There is a fabulous doggy day care place nearby (Pelynt Kennels) if you would like the odd day out somewhere where dogs are not welcome, such as the Eden Project or National Trust properties. Several guests have used this service and been very pleased with the care their pets received.
