Its wooden interior was warmed by many guests over the years, with most the time spent lounging on the grape laden patio over the creek. Fruit trees and gardens adorn the property, as well as specialty items like down comforters, fresh coffee, and other touches to welcome the Yosemite traveler. Robb Hirsch original fine photography of the area graces the contemporary nature based-interior, making the home a quaint spot for a family and friends to take in a getaway in the Yosemite gateway. High speed wireless makes getting work done on the patio a snap. A nostalgic VCR and DVD are provided for watching that favorite movie after a hike in the park. Full kitchen amenities are ready for a gathering of six with lots of storage to put it all away for your stay. Yosemite maps and tips of our favorite off the beaten path places are at your fingertips. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house and patio. Coffees and handmade scones are available next door at Mountain Sage, as well as local treats we find to leave for you and your guests. Dogs included. Other things to note First of all, this is my grandparents home, the house my father grew up in. My grandfather named the Iron Door Saloon in town, and the park is named after my much loved grandmother Mary Laveroni. The concord grapevine covers the outdoor patio where my grandparents spent many days and nights cooking, socializing and hanging out. It is a true pleasure to offer their home to the Sierra traveler who is looking for something very special. Secondly, we love dogs, of all kinds. Please note the floors are original fir my grandfather milled please be respectful to the house. We stocked the house with basic pots, pans, dishes and other items you may need for up to 8. White noise nature sound machine helps you dream effortlessly, as well as heaters and extra cozy blankets in each room. All mattresses are memory foam, with extra mattress pads for comfort. There is an air conditioning unit in the backroom to take the edge off on a hot summer day, and fans are provided around the house for added comfort. Coffee maker, grinder and toaster oven are also for your use in the full kitchen. Greywater system waters the outside trees, so please use only laundry detergent provided, and no toxic chemicals should go into the shower. We love reusing water more than once!
