Guest suite in East Sussex

A cosy artist's studio on the edge of the Old Town area of Eastbourne below the South Downs, 2 miles from the sea. The studio has its own entrance, ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet) There is a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle opening on to a tiny patio. It’s a 20 min walk to beautiful medieval pubs, church and restaurants of Old Town and a 10 min drive to the seafront (or 40 min walk), shops and town centre. 10 min in the other direction takes you to the South Downs National Park. The space It is a unique studio, with a cosy double bed, bespoke wooden shutters, and an en-suite shower room/toilet. The studio is reached through a kitchen area with a ceramic sink, microwave, fridge and washing machine, (it is connected to the main house but locked off; if your stay is for more than a week we may need to access the washer but will arrange a convenient time so as not to disturb you). Please note the kitchenette area does not have conventional oven only a microwave. The studio can be accessed through its own gate at the side of the main house with its own lockable back door. There is also a small private outdoor area with a cafe table and chairs. Plenty of room for cycles and other gear. Whether you are here to explore the sea or the Downs, or just to relax (and perhaps even paint yourself), we hope you will love the Artist's studio. Guest access The artist's studio has its own lockable entrance at the side of the main house. The studio and bathroom are private spaces for the guest only. The guest also has exclusive use of the kitchen sink, fridge, and microwave in the kitchenette space, with washing machine. Host may need to access washer if the stay is for more than a week, but will arrange a convenient time with guest) Other things to note We have two cats that do come through the utility room but have no access to the studio itself (unless you want to invite them in). We also have a young puppy but she stays within the main house so you won't meet her (unless you want to say hello). If your stay is longer than a week, we may need to access the washer/dryer but we will arrange a convenient time so as not to disturb you.
