The space Our comfortable Orion Double Room in the main building is a convenient and cozy place to stay while exploring Rügen for a few days. Come home to the comfort of Himmelreich. The Orion Douple Room features a double bed. Situated just upstairs from the restaurant this double room also offers convenient in-house access to the wellness spa. The upstairs lounge and snack bar offer a place to read, chat and relax. Add breakfast and wake up each morning to fine buffet of just what you need to get your day off to a healthy, energized start. Himmelreich Rügen is a boutique hotel in Southeast Rügen located in the historic and quiet farming village of Zirkow. The main building was originally built as general store back in the DDR period. It is now a charming hotel decorated in a vintage style with art on most walls. The main building offers a single room, 4 double rooms, a master suite and our special Himmelreich suite. The 2nd building, behind the main building, forms an inner courtyard offers 3 suites and holiday apartment suitable for families. The Himmelreich restaurant is on the ground floor, offering great food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast(surcharge) is also available mornings in the restaurant. Takeout food is also available. Enjoy our Himmereich spa (surcharge) and massage services. An eclectic mix of antiques, vintage items, art and gifts can be found in our unique Himmelreich shop. There is bus service 200 meters from the hotel. Rügen is accessible by train, with a bus connection to Zirkow. The bike path system is constantly growing and there a bike path leading to the hotel. In the summer, most buses travel with a bike trailer so you can explore the island. The legendary Rasenden Roland is near by. There is free parking at Himmelreich for guests. The roads on Rügen are breathtaken, beautifully tree-lined and surprisingly often still cobblestoned. From further away, our recommendation is to fly to Berlin, then rent a car. Rügen is approx. 3.5 hours north. From Sweden, take the ferry from Ystad to Sassnitz, Rügen Island. From Denmark, take the ferry to Rostock, then east 1.5 hours to Rügen. Weekly direct night train from Switzerland. Regular trains from Berlin, Rostock and Hamburg. Other things to note This is a boutique hotel with rooms decorated in a vintage style and with art.
