Tucked down a private lane and surrounded by generous gardens, Trevena Barn is a beautifully converted barn that offers something increasingly rare — real space, real privacy and real Cornish countryside on your doorstep. The large, light-filled living room flows into a spacious kitchen/diner, so the family can spread out and still be together whether you're cosied up around the wood burner watching Smart TV or getting ambitious with the incredible local seafood in the well-equipped kitchen. The Barn walls are hung with original artwork by Rachel Jeffery, whose home gallery studio sits just 100 yards up the lane. Guests are welcome to make an appointment with Rachel to view her work .You can browse her full collection online before you visit. Sleep Beautifully! Upstairs, the enormous master bedroom has a super king bed, en-suite shower room and a single fold-out bed if needed. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed, and the third bedroom sleeps four with two singles, each hiding a pull-out bed beneath, perfect for families. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath, the master bedroom has its own separate en-suite shower, and there's a handy downstairs loo too. The Garden — A Real Highlight Very few Cornish holiday lets can offer gardens like these. The owners are nurserymen and artists, and it shows — the large enclosed garden is a proper outdoor living space, with luxury rattan sun beds, a round table with eight comfortable chairs, a BBQ and a fire pit for those magical Cornish evenings when the sun goes down but nobody wants to go inside. Help yourself to the fresh mint, rosemary and chives and fresh mint — everything growing here is edible. The garden is completely safe for dogs and perfect for a kick about with the kids. A children's swing set is included too. Need more space to run? A park with gorgeous views towards Porthleven and The Lizard is just a five minute walk away. Guest access The Barn and its large surrounding gardens and plenty of safe parking space away from the road Trevena Cross Garden Centre and its lovely café is a short stroll away. The Lion and Lamb in Ashton and the Queen's Arms in Breage are both within walking distance and both serve great food. But the jewel in the crown is Porthleven (a mini less commercialised St. Ives ) is just five minutes by car. This beautiful harbour town has everything: celebrity chef restaurants, brilliant fish and chip shops, four pubs, a deli, ice cream in abundance and one of the most photogenic harbours in Cornwall. Praa Sands, St Michael's Mount at Marazion and some of Cornwall's most stunning beaches and coves are all within a ten minutes -20 min drive away. Other things to note Please note this property has no bedrooms downstairs, it does have a comfortable sofa bed in the longe and a room with toilet and sink . We have a strict policy that DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO CHARGE YOUR CAR AT THE PROPERTY - we have our own electric supply ( sunlight dependent ) and it would not cover the amount you need to charge your car. Please let the owners know if you need to charge your car at the property re. emergencies we charge £25 per charge . We love dogs and welcome up to two well-behaved four-legged guests at £12 per dog per night. The pet fee is handled automatically through Airbnb at the time of booking. Dogs are welcome downstairs but please keep them off the furniture and carpeted areas upstairs. We ask that dogs are toilet trained and comfortable being left alone quietly. An additional cleaning charge may apply if required .
