The Hovel, cosy country cottage

Set up as comfortably as possible for a couple or a family with two children. Just east and high in the hills above Bala and at one end of our isolated "Long-house" is this cosy self contained cottage. Stunning views from over 1000 ft in the grounds of “Caerau Gardens” Llyn Creini Lake! A full Cinema system, collapse after a long day with the log burner, popcorn and a film! As soon as you book I will send you a “Touch Stay” guide to let you know everything about the setup and the area. The space It is a great location for a couple or a small family. There is so much here to do for adults and especially children. It is also a convienient base for the mountains and beaches of Snowdonia and everything else this great area has to offer. One room with king sized double, and a small single bedroom with two beds rather like bunks for the children or incase people don’t want to share. There is the trampoline and the woods with our fort and zip wire, you can walk or cycle from the door and fish or kayak on our lake. Return to the wood burner and a film. We find it difficult to describe how much there is on offer in the area but with the land to explore, our 18acre lake, stone circles and Roman Camp, many people just stay here, you’re not just renting a cottage! Coming back to base there is a full cinema system with Monitor Audio sound system for films or Netflix also Wii. (There is a smart tv if you just want the news!). Plus games and books in the cupboards or on the shelves. If you would like an even more remote farmhouse have a look at Tyn Llyn by our lake for 2 people. There’s even a wood burning sauna, quite a spot! Guest access A private lake for swimming, fishing or boating. 600 acres of surrounding countryside to explore and the use of our gardens. Other things to note We will not accept pets or additional guests. It is a very home spun place and we open the garden to the public in the main season when we run a small cafe. We serve a full menu including much home made food, great coffee and cakes too, but generally just ask if you want something, maybe a meal in The Hovel in the evening? We have two spaniels that roam around freely though not indoors in the hovel.
