Description
Cross the Mill Brook on a covered bridge to a cozy duplex townhouse with two fully furnished decks. Ski Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, both just a few minutes away, and snowshoe or cross country ski out the door. When it's warmer, enjoy breathtaking views from our pool, golf the magnificent RTJ designed course at Sugarbush, road and/or mountain bike great local trail systems and gorgeous mountain roads, and hike out the backdoor to a beaver pond or nearby segments of The Long Trail. The space There's a Vermont Castings wood burning stove for those cold winter nights (plus gas and electic heat, of course). There’s a large deck, complete with a picnic table for 6 and 4 chairs to hang out on, all with a creek passing by. The master bedroom has a smaller private deck that's great for star gazing. There's a full sized washer and dryer. Guest access There's a seasonal heated pool with magnificent views on the property. It requires that you hike up a few dozen steps, but it's well worth the trek. There's a small playground that was updated recently, and large yard that's perfect for a baseball toss. t There are two tennis courts that are also used for pickleball but, in fairness, they could be maintained better. Other things to note Battleground townhouses are wood construction and were built in the mid and late 1970s. While the kitchen has been completely redone and the bathrooms upgraded, the unit retains much of its original charm, including a few of its warts. While it's listed for a maximum of 8, I believe that only two of the four bedrooms are suitable for couples. Of the other two bedrooms: -- One is thought of as a kids room. It has a double and bunk bed that sets up well for three kids OR one adult (or maybe a very young couple). -- The other has a lofted double bed and no closet or dresser. Teens and children over 5 will like this room and it may also work for a single young adult. This room does not heat well during winter, so an extra blanket will be required.
