The Fairytale

Stay in a traditionally storehouse at a Norwegian farm at Noresund, 100 km and 90 minutes drive from Oslo. Two hours and 155 km drive from Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL). This is in the heart of the Norwegian fairytale tradition. It is about 450 meters from the lake and 8 minutes drive from the ski slopes of Norefjell. The high mountains of Norway starts here. The trolls are in the woods just behind the cabin. They are all nice. We recomend that you have a car avaliable. The space Bed linen, towels, duvets and pillows are included. Two of the beds are 120 cm wide (Queen size), well suited for two children. A family of two adults and four children will be well suited. There is only space for four adults. Kitchen and bathroom is on the ground floor. Living room/bedroom is in the first floor. In the kitchen you will find boiler and modest kitchen equipment. You will find dishwasher, washing machine and dryer in the kitchen as well. It is equipped with sheets and towels. There is no extra payment for heat, electricity or water. Otherwise, parking can be done below the big rock just north of the storehouses. We will provide you with a key from a keybox. You will receive a message with details before arrival. You may use the the outside space, but kindly take into account that this is an fully operational farm which in seasons may be busy. Other things to note This is a traditional farm in full operation. The birds may wake you up in the morning, as well as a tractor. The door lock is rather advanced: To lock the door, turn the key clockwise until it stops. The door is then locked and will not be able to open from inside. You will only manage to open the door from outside with the key. One counter clockwise turn with the key makes the door able to lock from inside (normal function for most doors). Two counter clockwise turns with the key makes the lock blocked in open position and it will not be able to lock the door from inside. Do some tests with the key in the lock and the door open, and you will get hang of it. The farm bell rings every hour from 8 in the morning to 10 at night (9 am and 10 pm on Saturdays and Sundays). We are equipped with three trash cans for sorting waste. The blue lid is for paper and cardboard, the green for glass and metal and the black for residual waste. In addition, plastic is thrown in the bag hanging on the yellow hook on the paper box. The stove/oven is equipped with a safety switch that turns off the power if it gets too hot or there are no people in front of the stove over a long period of time. When the safety switch has turned on, you hear a bouncing sound behind the stove. It is a bit different procedure depending on what the reason is for the safety switch to have entered. If there is no power on the stove, proceed as follows: Press the button on the small device hanging on the stove fan just to the right of the lamp for one second. Wait 30 seconds for the safety switch to turn the power back on to the stove. If it is not sufficient, turn off fuse no. 1 in the fuse cabinet in the hallway to the right of the door for the bath for 15 seconds before reinserting. Wait for 30 seconds before the power returns to the stove. Do NOT remove the unit from the stove fan. It will automatically cut the power. Make sure the logo of the stove fan unit is facing out. If not, it will not detect that there are people in the room and it will not be possible to power the stove. This is an excellent base for outdoor activities, forest walks and mountain hikes. Fishing in the lake is permitted after purchaseing a license.
