It´s possible to hire a little house on the campsite and there are some little shops and a restaurant on it as well. The other beach is on walking distance a little more to the South (behind the rocks with the little palace and minigolf). This one is more quiet and is partly used as a nudist beach. A little river is flowing in the sea. Fondest memory, that you can take home with you is sitting on the beach in the evening with the little noise of the river that flows into the sea and the sun slowly disapearing behind Mount Ucka. Town Square with its Romanesque bell tower and a series of baroque houses, parish church, a small chapel by the sea, are only a few segments that make up the historical monuments and ancient cultural values of Lovran and give a special atmosphere to this small Mediterranean town. Opatija is the oldest town in Liburnia, which is mentioned in historical sources is in the 7th century when it was listed from a unknown Laurian traveler from Ravenna. Confirmation that Lovran is dating from the 7th century can be also found in the poem of Patriarch Paulinus of Aquileia.
