Stone School House - Minutes from Harper's Ferry

Our place is a wonderful getaway cabin. Only an hour from DC area, but totally secluded. Romantic or family fun (or both)--experience nature. Families with kids get a discount--just ask for special rates. The space We have a secluded stone cabin, just 50 minutes from Washington, DC and only minutes from Historic Harper's Ferry, a half-dozen of Virginia's finest wineries and breweries and access points to the Appalachian Trail and Potomac River. We have outdoor fire pits and free firewood in unlimited quantities. In the summer, wild red raspberries are plentiful--please help yourselves The entire house repainted and spruced up this past year. Come stay for a wonderful spring weekend--winery tours, 1/2 mile from Brewery, rafting/fishing the Potomac, hiking the Appalachian Trail. Our small home includes a separate Finnish sauna and outdoor shower. The house has central AC/heat, 2 working fireplaces, and a full kitchen. We are just three minutes from whitewater rafting and tubing on the Potomac River. The house is secluded with only two neighbors within 200 meters and no houses within eyesight. There is both casual and upscale dining within 20 minutes of our place. The MARC train departs and returns daily on weekdays from Harper's Ferry and travels to Washington, DC. Our place has been completely remodeled with a modern flair--including a cathedral ceiling in living room, stone walls and custom stairways. It's very small, but has 4 levels, making it seem larger. The creek is steps from the door sounds very nice and helps cool the house in the evenings. Book a rafting or tubing trip with Harper's Ferry Adventure Center. They now have a brewery onsite!! Note: You should bring drinking water because, while ours is perfectly safe, it is well water that has high mineral content and smells a bit funny. Guest access You will have the entire place to yourselves. Other things to note Note that the house has 4 beds--a private room with a queen bed and a queen bed and two single beds on the top level. While separated by a bathroom and short hallway, the queen and single beds are on the same floor and are not private as there is no door between the spaces. The fifth bed is a futon mattress. if you move it downstairs, please return it to 3rd floor or pay an extra $40 fee.
