Escape to Sweetgrass Farm, a serene 4.8-acre retreat and art studio in a small, private farm community—peaceful and private, yet just 9 miles from the ocean, beaches, and everyday amenities. The property features a bright, modern farmhouse, lush gardens, a pond, and generous indoor and outdoor spaces all designed for rest and renewal. Guests enjoy a warm saltwater lap pool, cold plunge, and charming pool house, all set among beautiful grounds that invite you to slow down, and breathe. The space You’ll be staying in a cozy, comfortable room featuring: -Queen bed -Spacious closet and dresser -Sunny, south-facing new window -Newly remodeled full private bath with shower off the common room This is an ideal space for adults seeking quiet and comfort. Guest access All guests have access to the kitchen, laundry room, living room, dining room, a separate refrigerator, the screened porch, the east and south patios, the pool area and pool house, and a common room off the kitchen with a small desk and a large rug that is perfect for yoga and stretching. The north patio is my private space. During your stay This is my home, and I work from here. My bedroom and studio are in a separate wing, and I’m generally busy—but always available if you need anything. I respect your space and privacy, and you are welcome to make yourself at home. I will provide guests with morning coffee, tea and light breakfast items. If you enjoy light social time, you are welcome to join me in the evenings for a glass of wine. On Sundays, I sometimes make wood-fired garden veggie pizzas by the pool—just let me know ahead of time if you’d like to participate. Fresh garden salads harvested from the farm also make regular appearances. Other things to note Check-in window is 2–4 pm. Please text ahead if you cannot arrive during this time. Late-night check-ins are not possible. I have a dog who may bark and disturb others if arrivals are late. If you need a highly flexible check-in, this is likely not the right fit. -No pets or children. -TV is available via Apple TV only in the living room. -Internet is broadband but can be slow or spotty at times—this is not a good fit if you need fast or ultra-reliable Wi-Fi. The main gate is always closed (never locked)—please open and close it when coming and going. The pool area is a guest favorite and comes with a few important rules: -All guests must sign a liability waiver to use the pool and cold plunge. -Pool access is for registered guests only. -Please shower off oily sunscreen before swimming. -Only biodegradable soap and shampoo may be used in the outdoor shower (provided). The pool house has a cooktop stove, and you are free to cook a meal there. Please do all your dishes and clean up thoroughly. There is also a small refrigerator in which you may store some items. Two beach chairs, towels and an umbrella are available if needed. You will be responsible for replacing these items if they are damaged or lost. Sweetgrass Farm is best suited for independent, respectful adults looking for a peaceful, nature-forward stay with thoughtful hospitality—not a party house or hotel substitute.
