Halliday’s Folly - Spacious Cottage with parking

Halliday’s Folly is an historic Grade II listed building in the heart of Greetham in Rutland. A spacious two storey cottage with two ensuite bedrooms upstairs, a breakfast kitchen, lounge and downstairs shower room. The space One bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has two single beds, both with ensuite bathrooms. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge creating additional sleeping space with a downstairs shower room. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, Belfast sink and seating for six. The Folly is set within a shared driveway with off road parking for three cars and there is a patio area to the front of the Folly for alfresco dining. WIFi is available throughout the house with an internet only Amazon Fire TV. A washing machine and dryer are available for your use in a separate garage for those on longer stays. All bed linen and towels are provided. Greetham is a working village in the beautiful county of Rutland, very close to Rutland Water with plenty of great country walks from the doorstep. Convenient for Stamford (15 mins) and Oakham (10 mins). The village has two highly regarded pubs - The Wheatsheaf and The Plough, both serving food and are a very short walk from the cottage. The Sun Inn, Cottesmore and The Olive Branch, Clipsham are nearby for great meals too. Rutland Water offers sailing, fishing, walks and cycle hire, plus the famous Rutland Belle. Stretton Lakes are very close by for fishing. Barnsdale Gardens and Holywell Hall are both less than 10 minutes away. Greetham Valley Golf Course, driving range and Archery is 3 mins by car. The beautiful Belvoir Castle is only half an hour away. The beautiful old market town of Stamford is well worth a visit, as is Burghley House and Gardens. Guest access Halliday’s Folly is situated alongside Halliday’s Cottage within a gated shared driveway. The Folly can be booked alongside Halliday’s Cottage and interconnected for a maximum of 8 guests, listed separately on Airbnb as Halliday’s House. A safe place for bikes is available. Please let us know if you would like to use the sofa bed. Other things to note Parking space for three vehicles within a gated shared driveway. Please note that there is no facility for EV charging and cables through the windows are not permitted due to insurance restrictions.
