Charming in-law retreat w/patio & scenic garden

Located in Oakland's scenic lower hills, the Airbnb is the downstairs of our house. It includes 1 spacious bedroom w/desk, a smaller bedroom with a double bed, & tv, a full bathroom, kitchen, & a small dining area. The private entrance from the back patio looks out over a spacious yard. Our neighborhood has tall trees, expansive green space, and is quiet, friendly & safe. A few minutes from Park Blvd.'s and Montclair's many cafes, it's even closer to the Dimond district's eateries & markets. The space Our recently remodeled in-law is clean, classy, and comfortable, with original art, beautiful rugs, and a small library of books. It has three rooms + a bathroom: a spacious bedroom with a double bed, dresser, desk, and plenty of closet space, plus a small bedroom with a tv and a futon that folds out into a double bed. The kitchen has a small dining area that comfortably seats 2, and with a little maneuvering, 3. You'll find a coffee maker, toaster oven, full fridge, stove, dishes, utensils, glasses and cups, pots and pans, cooking supplies, and some dry food in the cabinet left of the sink. The laundry room, which we share with you, has a new washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. Guest access The in-law is private, with its own entrance. It has a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, small dining and sitting area, a spacious bedroom & desk, and a smaller bedroom with a bed and tv. The back patio, which looks out over several connecting backyards looks like a large park. Our yard includes a chicken coop (temporarily empty), flower gardens, fruit trees, and a large vegetable garden. Feel free to wander in. (NOTE: For everyone's health & safety during the Covid pandemic, we ask that our guests are fully vaccinated, just as we are.) Other things to note We (Nancy and my son Ethan) live upstairs. We are quiet, but not silent. Wanted you to know in case you are particularly sensitive to any stray noise. The house is heated by a relatively new furnace located in the separate unfinished space at the very front of the house (behind the back room of the in-law). The furnace turns on and off as needed in the winter, and downstairs you can hear the fan. The thermostat is upstairs, and we adjust it to keep the Airbnb at a comfortable temperature.
