Cox's Cottage in the Hawkesbury Valley

As featured on Channel 7's Home and Away and only 1 hr from Sydney, Cox's Cottage sits on a 5 acre property that overlooks Pitt Town Lagoon with black swans, pelicans and uninterrupted views to the Blue Mountains. Fully self-contained, private, with own entrance. We supply breakfast ingredients of eggs, milk, cereals, bread and jam. Pets welcome. On parle Français. The space Our historic cottage was built in 1876 and is one of the few remaining slab cottages in the Hawkesbury. Inside is clean and comfortable with two double bedrooms and ample space to sit and relax. There is a wood-burning fire to keep guests warm and cosy during the winter months as well as oil-filled heaters which, if kept on a low trickle, also help keep the cottage warm and inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped with a bench top convection oven and Fisher and Paykel twin-drawer dishwasher. We also have a beautiful 'Glamping' bell tent for extra accommodation which comfortably fits 2 adults (additional charges apply). Please ask for more details and availability. We are a pet-friendly property. Our two dogs, Zsa Zsa and Zarny a.k.a. Brown and Black, are very friendly and get very excited when our guests arrive (especially if they bring their dogs with them!). However, we realise that some guests feel uncomfortable around dogs. If you feel that way, please let us know in advance so we can keep them away from the cottage area for when you arrive. Please note, the nightly rate is for up to 4 adults (in 2 double bedrooms). Pull-out sofa bed is an additional $25 per night. All bed linen/towels provided. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the property, walk down to the lake and enjoy the spectacular uninterrupted views. Sit and watch some of the spectacular sunsets as the sun slips behind the Blue Mountains. Other things to note Our property is very photogenic and has been used in many photo shoots from Channel 7's Home and Away to luxury Bentley cars. If you are planning a shoot, please let us know before making your booking and tell us your requirements. Extra fees may be charged.
