Dear friends, things have changed a bit... for the better in some ways, for the worse in others (only for me), but... we look forward to seeing you anyway, and as usual, with open arms and great pleasure! The co-host has also changed... now it's my nephew Roberto, who is very practical, very talented and very quick! The space Genoa has a unique road system, and when you arrive, we'll pick you up and take you home in just a few minutes!!! The cozy bedroom has been transformed...now the bed is a double (but also a single), incredibly comfortable, and you sleep wonderfully! To make this happen, the bedroom has been...revolutionized and is prettier than before!!! We live in an apartment of approximately 100 square meters, with a large garden and a shared double entrance (common in Genoa). It comprises: - Large living room with dining table, chairs, a new double bed (which can also be made into a single), and a color TV. - A smaller bedroom with a single and/or double Ikea bed, also with a color TV, and a small closet. - Fully tiled bathroom with a glass shower, toilet, bidet, and sink. - Heating via shared radiators and fans in all rooms in the summer... we don't like air conditioning. - The apartment features a large garden on two sides of the building: the garden in front of the kitchen and living room features a wooden pergola with table and chairs in a tiled area with a fixed brick barbecue for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. The building is located in the upper part of Via Cesare Cabella, near Piazza Manin, in the Castelletto neighborhood, a convenient location that avoids traffic noise. Getting there: The house is easily accessible by public transportation, including a public elevator that takes you to Piazza Manin and vice versa in just a few moments. The secondary entrance on the second floor, with elevator access, also offers a short walk to one of the city's most scenic areas, the lush greenery of Righi Hill. This offers a 180-degree panoramic view of the harbor, the slate rooftops of Europe's largest historic center, and, to the left, the Portofino promontory. On Righi Hill, which is served by a small public bus, you can visit the astronomical observatory, the Adventure Park for children and adults, and, on foot, the ancient city walls with the fortresses/castles built to defend it. From nearby Piazza Manin, you can board Italy's smallest public railway, an affordable, historic rack railway that takes you, in about an hour, into the heart of the Ligurian countryside and hills, and especially to Sant'Olcese, where a famous historic salami is produced. From the same location, Piazza Manin, you can easily reach the city center by public transportation or on foot, with its vast historic center, including the Palazzo Ducale, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Art Galleries and Museums of historic buildings. You can also easily reach the famous Genoa Aquarium (the second largest in Europe) and the Porto Antico, where guided tours depart, both by double-decker bus and by boat. Facilmente raggiungibile anche le due principali stazioni ferroviarie da cui partono ogni giorno frequenti treni locali che permettono di visitare le due riviere. Offriamo un comodissimo letto matrimoniale e un altro uguale, in due stanze separate. Nel caso di una coppia con un bambino, offriamo la possibilità di un lettino extra per bambini con lenzuola, coperte e cuscino antisoffoco. Nella stanza etnica è possibile aggiungere un comodissimo e grande letto Intex gonfiabile in pochi minuti. Posto nel guardaroba in cameretta (nella stanza etnica due cassetti), lenzuola, coperte, biancheria e prodotti da bagno. La colazione non è inclusa nel prezzo, ma possiamo concordare, se richiesto, l'uso della cucina per la colazione e/o per i pranzi principali. Rex, il nostro amato cane pastore tedesco, salvato da una fine orribile, non è più, purtroppo, con noi e ora c'è una cagnetto bianco (Freddy) timidissimo e paurosissimo anche lui da canile pubblico, quindi non possiamo ospitare persone che non amano gli animali, che siano allergici al pelo animale e che abbiano problemi respiratori. Ovviamente l'ospitare animali non è un problema, purchè molto docili e molto obbedienti. Mi spiace, ma, per la tranquillità di tutti, NON ospito cani che abbiano un DNA di aggressività e segnalati dagli stessi allevatori (molossoidi in genere). I bambini sono sempre i benvenuti da noi! Cars can easily be parked near the house, outdoors but close by. During your stay We will be happy to do whatever our guests wish and what we can do in the time available to us. The atmosphere at home is always familiar, simple and natural. Surely the first thing will be to pick you up on arrival, free of charge and by appointment to be agreed. Genoa has a particular road system and, the first time, it can be disorienting.....We will take you home in no time, give you maps, advice on where and how to go and give you the keys to the house so that you are independent. We have no arrival, departure, return or exit times: all you have to do is tell us whether you will arrive in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening. You will be able to ask us what you need, and we will take care, if possible, to accommodate you. We live in the house, but we are very very discreet, we do not enter the rooms as long as there are guests and we are pleased that you feel 'at home'..... Other things to note You will have a coffee machine with pods (which we will be available nearby) and, from now on, also a small (but capacious!) fridge for your things and nothing else!!!!! Smoking is allowed in the house (we are smokers too, but in the garden is better)!!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED to organize parties or anything else among the regular guests nor, even less, with people who are not booked through the platform.
