Description

Perfect for a group of friends or extended family, the Heritage lodge has 6 bedrooms; 2 queens, 2 doubles, and 2 twins, sleeping up to 12. Rooms all have electric blankets, heaters, linen and towels. A private lounge at the back of the lodge gives you a space to gather together, with coffee and tea facilities. The terrace along the front is perfect for sunrise over the mountains, or starry skies at night. The rooms share 2 luxurious bathrooms, accompanied by eco-friendly toiletries. The space The lodge is set by the edge of Lake Whakatipu with stunning mountains for a backdrop, a quiet spot with only frogs and owls for noise after dark. There are communal lounges, a TV room and fully equipped guest kitchen on site. We're not too far from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown, but far enough for you to get back to nature. On site we have a restaurant serving delicious meals with locally sourced ingredients and award winning drinks, and during warmer months we offer kayak trips. If you're hiking the Routeburn or Greenstone/Caples tracks we run transport to the trail heads. Guest access Guests have access to the shared hot tub, with amazing mountain and lake views, the self-catering kitchen, dining area and lounge, plus the TV room. Please note all of these are shared with the Wilderness room guests. There are laundry facilities, a gear drying cupboard, e-bikes and fishing rods for hire, a book exchange, and kayak tours in warmer months. The on site restaurant is open to everyone, including the general public, and serves breakfast through dinner alongside local beverages. Other things to note The last 9km of road to Kinloch is unsealed, however we've had different types of vehicle drive it with no problems. Phone reception is not guaranteed, , neither is the hot tub if maintenance is required. The nearest big supermarket is in Queenstown, 75km down the road.
