Terrace with a view The space The building that for many generations of Arzachenesi has been "la casa di lu duttori" (the doctor's house), is located on the main street of Arzachena, a few steps from Piazza Risorgimento, the heart of the agora and the commercial activities of the historic center. The building, built at the end of the 19th century, originally consisted of a basement-cellar and a ground floor and reproduced the essential lines of the typical Gallura construction: the stazzo. In the 1920s, the building was enriched with two more floors, taking on its current appearance. The main facade of the building has the characteristics of the Liberty style. The main entrance door is of particular value, both for its mighty size and for its workmanship. At the end of the 1920s, the building became the hub of Arzachena's social life. Giovanni Ragnedda, who became a doctor at the age of 23, transformed the right side of the ground floor into his own clinic. Next to his brother, he will inaugurate the first "putecaria", a pharmacy in Arzachena. Guest access Our guests enjoy hotel treatment: cleaning and linen change every three days. The apartment is located in the attic of the building of the Casa di Lu Duttori. It is accessed through the internal stairs of the building. Due to structural constraints, there is no elevator. As a result, we do not recommend our Guest House to anyone who has mobility difficulties. Other things to note For decorum and respect for other guests, we remind you that smoking is not allowed inside the apartment or the property. The attic has a private terrace where you will also find the ashtray. No parties or hosting other people.
