Thaddeus House is a 2 story hand-built A-frame with a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a freestanding wood burning fireplace. Thaddeus House has been featured in Escape Brooklyn, Woolrich and Urban Outfitters. The kitchen has recently been renovated with a soapstone countertop - Miele refrigerator + Bosch stove/oven and dishwasher. The location is fantastic year round - excellent skiing, hiking + great lake swimming. Close to Woodstock, Stone Ride, Kingston, Saugerties + Phoenicia. The space Thaddeus House was hand built in 1976. In every detail, you can feel the love that Thaddeus put in to this country home for his family. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Its a house of peace and tranquility - many have commented on the resting nature that has come over them without reckon. Its a house that needs to be shared. Guest access There is an indoor, built-in grille (no need to compete with flies while grilling!). Stocked kitchen for all cooking and baking needs. Large Farm Table for communal meals. As there is new carpeting in the bedrooms with the highest grade padding that makes you feel like you're walking on air - shoes are only allowed in the communal kitchen and living room area. Guests will have full access to the house, private driveway, yard, yard toys and lake toys! Other things to note House is down a driveway that can get icy in winter. You will need a 4-wheel drive car for November to the end of March. House was featured on Escape Brooklyn. House was also used in a shoot for Urban Outfitters. There is no Air Conditioning - this is intentional! Open the windows and enjoy the fresh, free air. The kitchen and living room share a Sonos unit for your listening pleasures... The upstairs main loft is private but does sit over the open living room. We don't offer discounted rates unless staying for 1 week + ( inquiries on discounted rates will be dismissed). Internet Usage and Liabilities An illegal or abusive use the Internet access is not allowed. In particular, it is not allowed… • to send information and data of a commercial nature and/or for marketing purposes to third parties without being requested to do so (spamming), • to use peer-to-peer networks if up- or downloading of copyright-protected intellectual property with or without the knowledge of the owner is intended; • to spread and distribute illegal or immoral content and data; • to use applications which could destroy or change the physical or logical structure of Thaddeus House equipment or network. In case of non-compliance with the above obligations or in case of any other illegal action, the renter shall be liable for damages. The renter has in particular to indemnify and hold harmless Thaddeus House from any third party claims on first demand and, in case Thaddeus House settles any damages itself for avoiding further damages to compensate Thaddeus House for all damages incurred (including costs of legal advice and defense). Thaddeus House is not responsible for any damages renters sustain while using Internet access with their own Internet devices. The renters must have their own spyware/virus protection or data security, etc. Photo shoots Photo shoots are not permitted without written permission from us. Special Events Special events such as weddings and parties are not permitted without written permission from us. Owner Access The renter shall allow us to access to the property for purposes of repairs and inspection if required. We shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner. Smoking Smoking is not allowed inside the house or within 15 feet of any open door. If you are a smoker, plan to smoke outside and well away from open doors and to provide your own ashtray. Butts thrown on the ground are not appreciated. Deposit We may withhold all or part of the deposit if any of the general policies are broken. Cause for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to, the following: • Missing items requiring replacement (including keys) • Damage to the premises or contents • Excessive cleaning required • Lingering smell of tobacco smoke • Charges for mailing personal items left behind • Evidence of more persons using the property than were authorized • Unauthorized late check-out • Unauthorized early check-in • Illegal use of the internet provided
