Drey Cottage - Quirky-Dog Friendly -Brecon Beacons

Our beautiful dog friendly cottage is situated in the Brecon Beacons national park, with a spectacular view of Pen y Fan from the lounge window and from the spacious tiered garden. Spend your evenings viewing the beauty of the International Dark Sky Reserve! If you're looking for a perfect winter get away with a wood burner in the living room, a fire pit in the large garden (with logs provided) and plenty of hot water for a dip in the roll top bath, this is the perfect place ! The space Our beautiful cottage has wonderful views of the Brecon Beacons. The living room, dining area, kitchen, two of the four bedrooms and the family bathroom (with roll top bath) all overlook the Usk valley and the Beacons. The two further bedrooms are at the back of the property, the one double is downstairs with an en-suite (with a large walk-in shower) and access to the garden. The final king size bedroom is an impressive sized bedroom complete with a shower room. Adjoining the king size bedroom you have a sunroom leading you directly to the garden. At the front of the cottage we have a large double family room with double bed, a built in wardrobe and daybed which has an extremely comfy single mattress. Also at the front of the cottage we have another cosy double bedroom. Both front bedrooms are next to the family bathroom with a luxurious roll top bath with a window overlooking the Brecon Beacons and part of the beautiful river Usk. Our lovely cottage has a quirky design and is on split levels, giving guests private areas to relax and enjoy the view. We provide a welcome basket, which includes fresh bread, homemade Welsh cakes, butter, eggs and marmalade. In the fridge you will find orange juice and milk. There are also coffee pods for the Nespresso coffee machine. As well as many other kitchen essentials. Bed linen and towels are provided. Each bedroom has a dressing table so if required, there is plenty of space to work from home. The cottage also has an annexe which has a garage on ground floor where you can store bikes or an extra car. Also in the garage you’ll find any extra logs needed. Above the garage is a large games room with a sofa, pool table , dartboard, football table and a wide selection of board games. Our quirky cottage has a large garden on different levels with a sun terrace. This has a fabulous view of Pen-Y-Fan and is a wonderful place to sit in the evenings and enjoy the Dark Sky Reserve. The garden has a large seating area, fire pit and BBQ -and a garden shed containing spare charcoal. We welcome well behaved dogs, we politely ask that they stay downstairs as we have wooden flooring on the whole of the ground floor for ease of cleaning. We have a small gate leading from behind the games room into our field. This is a delightful space for our doggie guests to work off their excess energy! If there are any animals in the field, please keep your dogs on a lead. Just one mile away we have Trallong common, this is also a perfect place for dog walking! Guest access There is parking for three cars outside the property, and space for one car in the empty garage beneath the games room. Other things to note The Drey has a quirky layout which makes it great for a group of friends or a family. The garden is large and has the most spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons. You have a large and private space to yourselves on various levels of lawn. The sun room adjoining the king size bedroom upstairs leads directly onto the lawn , the down stairs bedroom has a door leading directly to the garden steps, and a large shower room adjoining. The Drey has 2 other sumptuous bedrooms on the first floor, one of which is a double and one is a spacious double with an additional single / day bed. The games room above the garage has also become a particularly popular addition to any stay at our beautiful cottage. If you wanted to book for more than 9 people we have a beautifully converted 17th century barn also available for guests and their dogs , this sleeps 7 guests - this is half a mile away from the Drey - and is called Tir Isaf Barn.
