Spalding House #19 - Unique 1900s Hotel Room
Unique 1900s Hotel Rooms reopened for overnight rooms with a dorm room feel. Located just off Main Street across from the Main Street Mall Plaza and only blocks from the Mountain Bike Trails. Cuyuna Brewing and the Iron Range Eatery are just across the street. Serpent Lake and Crosby Memorial Park are a quick walk away. Rooms are located above the Spalding Bar, where you check in. Expect noise from the bar below (Essential Oil Diffuser with white noise settings and earplugs provided). The Spalding House is a three story building built in 1910. The main level houses the Spalding bar which has been in this location from the beginning. We have repurposed the majority of the original 1900s hotel rooms into hostel rooms on the second floor. Our third floor houses our full-time residents and laundry facilities. Room #19 has original hardwood floors. Rooms were small in the 1900s. #19 has one single bed and a chair and sleeps one person. There is a common room with a tv, refrigerator, pizza oven, toaster and microwave. There are usually some snacks and beverages there as well. Bathrooms are shared and there is one on each side off the hallway. You can call, text, or message during your stay. If the bar is open below, you can get information from the bartenders as well. In the heart of downtown Crosby, Cuyuna Brewing and the Iron Range Eatery are just across the street. Serpent Lake and Crosby Memorial Park are a quick walk away. You can park your vehicle on the street or in the parking lot in the back of the building. We allow bikes to be brought to rooms as long as you take them to the Mall Plaza Park across the street and wash them. We know what iron ore does to fabrics! Rooms are located above a bar, so there is background noise... especially on weekends. We provide earplugs if you are sensitive to the noise.
