Tidung Lagoon is a breathtaking retreat located 44 km NW of Jakarta in Thousand Islands and it is 1.5 hours by speedboat. It features 16 uniquely designed rooms, offering a comfortable stay. All rooms are above the ocean, providing guests with panoramic views and the ocean right beneath. The price includes breakfast and lunch, coffee/tea, guide, snorkeling, banana boat, canoe but EXCLUDE transportation. While it's not a 5-star facility, we offer the nightly spectacle moon and stars. The space There are 16 rooms available with 1 big lobby and dining room. All rooms face the ocean with a panoramic view of the island. We have our own harbor where you can park your boat or have your BBQ party. Each room can accommodate up to 4 persons. Every group will have their own private room and will NOT share with others. A white sandy beach is right in front of our resort. You can also visit the fish bone museum, mangrove conservation center, breadfruit plantations, coconut fields, coral reef conservation, turtle conservation, walk over the 700m Lover Bridge, fish cultivation area, and many more attractions within the island. There are plenty of fish around our resort if you enjoy fishing. Alternatively, you can try squid fishing at night. Numerous unique activities await you to explore. Please note that our building facility is semi-permanent to comply with government regulations for constructing above water. It is a wooden building with bamboo walls. Therefore, don't expect an experience similar to that of a 3 to 4-star inland hotel. However, we offer a unique experience, such as the ocean waves moving below your bed, fishing from your windows, or feeling the ocean breeze all day. Occasionally, you will also experience thunderstorms, which can be exciting but safe. Guest access Feel free to explore the platform, offering different perspectives of the ocean and breathtaking views of the sunrise or sunset. Swimming around the platform is always an option, or you can venture north to the coral reef where the tide breaks. Alternatively, choose to snorkel directly around the platform, where you'll encounter vibrant coral and an abundance of tropical fish. Along the white sandy beach, collect various seashells. Once you've gathered enough, our staff can prepare them for you, so be sure to bring your favorite chili sauce. Take a leisurely walk to the east side of the island, and don't miss the turtle conservation, sperm whale museum, mangrove plantation, and the easternmost point of the island (approximately a two-hour walk). Cross the Lover Bridge to Tidung Besar island, where you'll find shops and enjoy local coconut or breadfruit crackers. If you prefer, rent a bicycle (Rp. 20.000/day) or a motorcycle (Rp. 150.000/day) to explore the west side of the island. For fishing enthusiasts, drop your fishing rod directly into the lagoon, and you're almost guaranteed to catch plenty of fish. Alternatively, wait until dawn for squid fishing—just make sure to bring your fishing gear. For those who like fishing, behold. Just drop you fishing rot directly to the lagoon and sure enough that you will catch plenty of fish (almost guarantee). Or else, wait until dawn and you can fish squid. Make sure you bring your fishing gears. During your stay Our staff is available at any time to assist and to help you. They are also available to serve as a tour guide to the island or simply a company you and your family for snorkeling or fishing. Other things to note Our Airbnb prices cover accommodation, two meals (lunch and breakfast), unlimited quality coffee and tea, mineral water, a local guide, taxes, and service fees. The only additional cost is for a round-trip speedboat ticket from Marina Ancol (approximately USD 19/person or Rp. 320,000/person) or from Muara Angke (about USD 11 or Rp. 180,000/person) to Tidung Island. We can assist with purchasing the ticket after your booking. Boats depart daily at 8 AM (there are no departures after that) and return from the island around 3 PM. The speedboat takes about 1.5 hours, while the ferry takes around 2.5 hours. If you need help with getting to the harbors or buying the speedboat ticket, we’re here to guide you. Tickets can usually be purchased on-site or online, with Marina Ancol often being the more convenient option.
