The house is unique in the area and retains authentic features such as centuries-old stonework, an exposed chestnut roof, and a bathroom with a shower carved into the rock. Outside, you'll find a private garden with a barbecue and a secluded patio featuring a hammock and a rocking chair, overlooking the Luni Valley and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The space Medieval Malaspina sighting casatorre in the village of Irola ( Villafranca in Lunigiana, Alta Tuscany): a unique accommodation in the area, between ancient stone and modern comforts. The house is on several levels ( 3 floors + 2 habitable mezzanines) and offers 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, a super equipped kitchen with dishwasher and fireplace for cooking, laundry room with shower and washing machine, a large living room with cast iron stove and a terrace for breakfasts, with breathtaking views of the Lumi Valley and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Outside: garden, barbecue, private parking and patio, hammock and rocking chair, overlooking the green hills of the valley and the Apennines. A 10-minute walk under the tower is the Cascata del Torrente Monia, which is swimmable and loved by guests in summer. Sleeps up to 12 guests ( more comfortable for 7 if everyone wants a dedicated bed). Note: being a historic tower, there are stairs and spaces distributed vertically. It is essential to have a car since the Tower is 5 km from the town center. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire tower house for EXCLUSIVE USE: kitchen with fireplace, living room, bedrooms and lofts, and all 3 bathrooms. Also included are exclusive outdoor spaces: PRIVATE GARDEN, PATIO, BBQ, HAMMOCK, and SWING. Parking: AVAILABLE ON THE PROPERTY; in addition, there are also CONVENIENT parking spaces near the tower house. THERE ARE NO areas shared with other guests. The only space that is not accessible is the BOILER ROOM (for safety reasons). NOTE: As this is a historic tower house, the accommodation is spread over multiple levels, and the various rooms are accessed via INTERNAL and EXTERNAL staircases. Other things to note . Historic accommodation ON MULTIPLE LEVELS: the tower house has internal and external stairs and spaces distributed vertically; it is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties. . Children are welcome, but there are stairs in some places WITHOUT PROTECTION and THERE ARE NO GATES: adult supervision is required. . CAPACITY: up to 12 beds, but more comfortable for 7 if everyone wants their own bed (there are beds, sofa beds, and armchair beds) . OPEN-PLAN BATHROOM: on the upper level (with bathtub) and rooms with characteristics typical of historic casatorre buildings. . In-person and self check-in. It depends on the arrival times, but with precise instructions on everything . The WATERFALL of the Monia stream is about a 10-minute walk from the Casatorre (swimming is only possible in summer) .
