MAINE SUMMER COTTAGE BY THE SEA

Fern Cove is a 4 bedroom/2 bath summer cottage on a small quaint island off of Acadia National Park & near Bar Harbor. The Swans Island Ferry, from Bass Harbor, transports you into this gorgeous, tranquil paradise, for a wonderful vacation by the sea! The decks overlook the ocean where you can enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. Enjoy a book on the porch swing or sun bathe on the open deck....our house is very secluded & private. It is nestled among 3 acres of ferns & pine trees. The space This is a special place enjoyed by our family for 40 years. We would like to share this gift with some very special people who want to experience island life in this beautiful setting. Nature lovers, bird-watchers and hikers will find this to be the ideal spot to appreciate and indulge in these activities. This is the place for you if you want to disconnect, unwind and recharge! Guest access Canoe, rowboat, life preservers, charcoal grill, clam digging in front of the house with permit Other things to note There is a general store on the island , Tim’s, that stocks all of the essentials and many gourmet items. They have daily specials and pizza Fridays ! This is a dry island so you will need to bring your spirits from the mainland. The lobster co-op is down by the pier so you can pamper yourself with a "Downeast" dinner. Kayaks can be rented from Trafton Wharf. Keep your eyes open for special dinners at Oddfellows Hall, as well as concerts there as well. The library has special children’s programs and interesting lectures for all!
