Description

The Surfer’s Shack is a unique tiny space created from an upcycled shipping container. The decor is inspired by the local Causeway coastline. If you’re looking for a quiet secluded getaway, this is the place for you, as the shack is surrounded by rolling county Antrim farmlands, all the while being within minutes of the top spots such as the giants causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, the dark hedges and the Bushmills distillery. A little further (15 minutes drive) will take you to Portrush. The space The Surfer’s shack is an open plan tiny house, furnished with a full sized double bed, a kitchenette and cosy sitting area. The bathroom is a an outhouse next to the container, with rustic decor but plenty of hot water! There is both a shower and a washing machine, perfect for after a days activities on the coast. The porch is a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset (if you were fortunate enough for it to come out…!). Plenty of onsite parking is available. For the adventurers there is also an exterior wash down area, with a commercial sink perfect for cleaning gear. Guest access Guest have private access to the entire building including a full bathroom and their own outdoor living space with plenty of private parking Other things to note The interior is cladded with reclaimed wood, decorated with vintage surfboards, and has a warm rustic feel. There are plenty of power sockets, and the container is both fully insulated and has two heating sources (an electric radiator and an electric log burning stove, which you may be thankful for in an Irish summer!). The kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle, all the necessary eating utensils, and also a small sink. Two armchairs and a coffee table compose the seating area, with a small selection of inspirational reads. Most importantly to crash at the end of an exhausting days’ discoveries, you can enjoy the luxury of the comfortable double bed.
