Bryn Rhydd is a charming traditional cottage giving you easy access to miles of secluded walks along private, wooded paths. The space Bryn Rhydd is one of 10 luxury self-catering cottages on The Bodnant Estate, a strikingly beautiful agricultural estate in North Wales. Set in hilly and wooded countryside in the lower reaches of the Conwy Valley, it commands spectacular views across to Snowdonia. Stone cottages and farm buildings have been restored using traditional materials and techniques, and the Estate supports farming and encourages other rural activities. Various houses and cottages in scenic positions on the Estate are available for rent as holiday lets. Come and stay in one of them - and enjoy walking on the many miles of private woodland paths winding through the Estate. A traditional stone cottage that has been carefully renovated by the owners to retain its country charm while adding modern touches of comfort throughout. The living area contains two comfortable sofas snuggled around a wood burning stove, but you'll find the large and light kitchen is a good place to relax too, with its oak floor and large range oven and hob. The cottage makes the most of its elevated position in the Bodnant Estate, with a southerly facing terrace that overlooks the fields and the forests below. The panoramic views over to the Carneddau mountains are simply breathtaking, and you'll probably spend a happy hour or two sitting out on the terrace and take in the view. For larger groups Bryn Mawr, sleeping seven guests is located next to Bryn Rhydd and can also be booked, subject to availability. Additional Information: Please note that access is by single country roads with steep gradients in places and graded track across open fields. Caution should be exercised, particularly in inclement weather. Fishing permits available at Bodnant Garden Centre. Please be aware of some low beams and a steep staircase in the property. Due to the remote location, some mobile phone network providers may have limited signal. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate available on request (please provide your own cot linen). Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Please note, dogs must be kept under control as sheep and cattle graze in adjacent fields. A starter basket of wood, kindling, firelighters and matches are provided on arrival. Further wood can be purchased locally at Bryn Mawr Farm Firewood. Further details are provided in the arrival guide. Guest access Ground Floor: Sitting room With a wood burning stove, television with Freeview, DVD player and CD player. Open-plan kitchen/dining area With a Rangemaster oven, small fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Dining table seating four guests. First Floor: Bedroom one With a 5' king-size bed and en-suite shower room. Bedroom two With a 5' king-size zip and link bed (can be configured as small 2'6 twin single beds on request). Family bathroom With bath and hand-held shower attachment, wash basin and WC. Outside: Enclosed garden with south facing terrace and patio. Garden furniture and barbecue. Parking spaces for three cars. Other things to note Twin bedroom with 3' single zip and link beds which can be converted into a 6' king-size bed on request.
