Description

Beautifully restored apartment in an historic building. The apartment is bright, airy, cozy, private, and quiet with easy access to all northern Vermont has to offer. All amenities provided, including a full kitchen, two private bedrooms, and a living/dining area. The space Fully equipped and furnished two-bedroom apartment in the quaint village of Hardwick, Vermont. The rental apartment is in a newly renovated 1895 historic building and has a full kitchen and dining/living area along with two bedrooms. The living room windows offer a lovely view into the public park we recently designed and landscaped. Internet is a little spotty in the apartment, but reliable service is available in the restaurant on the first floor of the building. The apartment is close to several popular restaurants, a gym, an organic food co-op, and a grocery store. The Hardwick Trails, 6 miles of woodland hiking, are less than half a mile away. World-renowned brewery, Hill Farmstead Beer, is in nearby Greensboro and Caledonia Spirits distillery with its tasting room, including its top-shelf gin, is just down the road. Local swimming and canoeing/kayaking water bodies include Caspian Lake, Wolcott Pond and Green River Reservoir. The rental is within easy driving distance of ski resorts and close to Stowe, Greensboro, Smugglers Notch, and Montreal. It is also located near longer hiking trails, including the Appalachian and Long trails, mountain biking trails, canoeing and kayaking, cross-country skiing, and lots of good antiquing. The Village of Hardwick has become known as a sustainable food center, and was featured in the book, "The Town that Food Saved," by Ben Hewitt. Small food producers, such as the Cellars at Jasper Hill cheeses, Vermont Soy products, Pete's Greens, High Mowing Seeds, and the Vermont Food Venture Center cluster in and around the town. Guest access The one common space is a stone patio out behind the building with small outdoor table with two chairs which guests are welcome to use, keeping in mind to be sensitive about noise as there are other full-time tenants living in the building. Other things to note We also have an additional apartment on the second floor that accommodates up to four people. Please contact me for details.
