Koh Ker Jungle Lodge
Koh Ker Jungle Lodge is a traditionally built, Cambodian stilted house located in the remote village of Kok Ker, Preah VIhear province. It overlooks the main stunning Pyramid Temple, Prasat Thom and is a 2.5 hour travel time ( 120 kms) from Siem Reap, home to Angkor Wat. As this is close to the main temple park guest must send their passports 3 days in advance of their stay to Hidden Cambodia. The space If you ever wanted to be at one with Cambodia, this is the place. The remote village of Koh Ker is fascinating & the lodge sits on Main Street. This houses operates on solar power AND a generator. We also need a scan of guest passports 3 days in advance so last minute bookings don't work unfortunately. Guest access Guests can use the traditional jungle lodge for overnight accommodation. . that's the full upstairs of the house. Anyone accompanying , such as drivers and guides sleep under the house so it house private upstairs . Two great restaurants operate just in front of the main temple... a short walk away where there is a great selection of food available for breakfast lunch, and dinner. Other things to note This is a remote village and we have established the trickle of eco tourism to the temples and Koh Ker village since 2002, at a time where there was hardly a path to the village and the temple complex. We ask guests to be respectful of the local community, their culture and traditions. We stipulate no out after dark and also guest to respect the noise level after 9pm. We also prefer that the house is private to the guests upstairs as it is open and that access to those is only to those staying there as its an open space.
