A tropical home from home; stunning house and pool

This beautiful Sri Lankan house is a quiet sanctuary only 25 minutes away from the airport by car, just 5 kms north of Colombo and 10 mins from the highway leading to the south of the island. It's the perfect place to base a holiday; particularly for those who have family in Sri Lanka or who want to 'do their own thing'. It's conveniently located for excursions to the Cultural Triangle, Mannar, Jaffna etc., East to Kandy and the Hill Country and south to Galle and beyond. The space This modern house incorporates the Sri Lankan style of cool high ceilings and an indoor garden. The main living area is large and airy with fans for the main living areas. Each of the 3 double bedrooms has A/C as well as fans. The downstairs bedroom has an ensuite shower and toilet whilst the two upstairs double rooms share a shower and toilet. Hot water is provided by solar (not PV) panels on the roof. The kitchen is small but well equipped, with a 4 ring gas hob, electric oven and good sized fridge/freezer. The walled inner garden contains the swimming pool, surrounded by tall tropical palms. It's great for a quick dip before breakfast and/or later when the day heats up (please use the plastic beakers if you're drinking by the pool). It provides complete privacy. The large outer walled garden has a variety of fruit trees such a Mango, Belli, Lemon, Pomegranite and Guava, planted to encourage birdlife. It also contains indigenous wood trees like Kumbuk, Satinwood, Ebony and of course a few banana plants. You're welcome to take any ripe fruits from the garden. The gated driveway can comfortab;y hold 3 vehicles. Guest access You will have access to the entire house (except the owner's bedroom at the west end), pool and gardens. Other things to note Jay, who cares for the house, can arrange for you to be collected from and transferred to the airport, if you wish.
