The Scheggia Farmhouse (The Shard) is a small 15th-century rural hamlet, a typical example of grand ducal architecture. Renovated in the 1980s, it is part of the Italian Association of Historic Houses. La Fagianaia is a stone house built on the foundations of a former watchtower, located at the top of a hill overlooking the Tiber Valley and the vast woodlands that turn bright yellow with broom blossoms in spring and glow with the soft hues of foliage in autumn. The space La Fagianaia was originally built as a watchtower for the Castle of Montauto. Over time, it was converted into a small church and later used as an animal shelter. In the 1980s, it was transformed into a private home featuring three bedrooms: one master bedroom, the Pink Room with two single beds (which can be converted into a double), and the Blue Room with two single beds. The house also includes a bathroom, a spacious living room, and a separate kitchenette. A large private terrace offers stunning views over the Tiber Valley, while a separate garden ensures complete privacy. Beneath a pergola of Virginia creeper, a table invites you to dine à la belle étoile, and a wicker lounge area is perfect for reading, enjoying the silence, and indulging in the art of doing nothing.
