809 Umdloti Resort is a bright open plan top floor apartment right on the beach in the heart of Umdloti. The apartment is equipped with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal while gazing out over the ocean. There are two fine dining restaurants, coffee shop, family bar restaurant, hairdressing salon and other useful shops directly below. Being only 9 kilometres from Durban International Airport it is suitable for overnight business stops, romantic breaks and small family getaways. The space The apartment main loft bedroom is an eagles nest with amazing uninterrupted sea views. The bedroom has an open plan shower with an enclosed toilet and leads out onto a private balcony. The bed is a luxurious king size and the room is fitted with a powerful air-conditioning unit for the hot summer months. There is also a comfortable couch to relax on while enjoying the magnificent views of the ocean. The position is perfect if you are a business traveller as you merely walk downstairs to the restaurants and shops after a dip in the ocean. The communal swimming pool and braai facilities are ideal for family entertainment. The kitchen area is designed to entertain with everything you need to prepare an elaborate meal. The second bedroom is at the back of the first floor of the apartment and is much smaller than the master bedroom and lacks the dramatic sea views commanded by the master bedroom. As such, ideally it is not suitable for two couples sharing as they will definitely get to arguing over the master bedroom! There is air-conditioning for guest comfort and the room can be set up with either two single beds or a king size bed, just let us know your preference. Guest access There are two swimming pools and braai areas for your full enjoyment. Other things to note Bel Punto and Mundo Vida Restaurants downstairs are world class. The Bush Tavern is the local friendly hangout. Manta Cafe provides great breakfasts and coffee. There is a liquor store, pharmacy, Doctor and various other shops downstairs. Please be aware that the apartment is in the hub of Umdloti so expect some noise factor. From July to November the whales will give you a constant show out front. Dolphins abound all year long. If you are a fisherman then Umdloti is the place. Great rock and surf angling and paddle ski fishing. Umdloti beaches are very user friendly. Great surfing, diving and swimming. There is a beautiful tidal pool to the north and lifesavers are on duty at two points on the beach to keep an eye on bathers. The monkeys in the area have unfortunately become accustomed to raiding homes due to some people feeding them. As such be vigilant with open windows and doors during the day.
