The 15'X15' light & airy room has a small sink, queen bed, lg closet, lg desk & chair with WiFi, 2 recliner chairs; 40" TV; table & chairs; microwave, sm frig & coffee maker, tub and shower across from the room. Easy BART ride to SFO or OAK airports. COVID vaccination required. Long term rentals are encouraged for a discounted rate The space Rockridge is the most in-demand area of Oakland and the East Bay. The easy access to BART rapid transit and bus lines, plus all the nearby shops, cafes and restaurants make this location prime. College Avenue, a half block from our home is lined with coffee shops and cafes, restaurants from all over the world and lots of small shops. We have lived here for more than 40 years. We love to travel, and can give you lots of tips and info about getting around the Bay Area and Northern California. We think our spacious AirBnB room is a wonderful home away from home, and we will do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable. Guest access You will have total privacy and independence in your large living space. The front entrance of our home is used almost exclusively for guests, so your room is both private and secure with its own bolt lock and key. We use a back entrance and a back stairway to our part of the house. We also use a different bathroom, so apart from our housemate, Bob, who is very quiet and gone much of the time, you will have a very private space. During your stay As long-time residents, we can and will help you navigate BART, buses, bike routes and paths, and the highways and byways of the Bay Area. We are here to make your stay so enjoyable that you'll have to come back! We'll connect by text or in person as much as you want, or leave you completely on your own. The room is quite private from the rest of the house, so you can come and go without ever seeing us if you want. The house is remarkably sound proof, so you probably won't hear us, nor we you - unless you want to connect. Other things to note We are open to long term rentals and are happy to negotiate about laundry if you plan to stay more than 2 weeks. Let us know if you need street parking during the week - there is a 4 hour limit without a permit. We will purchase a permit for you from the city if you need to park your car during the week for more than four hours stretches. The permits are $5/day or $27/two weeks.
