An 1887 home turned back into a guest house and adding updates each year. Nestled in the woods, Yellow Tree is a 15-min. walk from the Miller Ferry. We offer a light, not hot, breakfast fare each morning in our breakfast café for you to help yourself. We are 2 miles from the downtown scene. Put-In-Bay’s small-town charm is loaded with shops, restaurants, & musical entertainment. We host couples, girl/guy weekends, & families. Yellow Tree has multiple listings on Airbnb, perfect for groups of 6-8 The space Harlow's room is our downstairs room. It is accessed through the back door of the house, past the breakfast room. The private bathroom is across the hall. There is a small sitting area in the room and a closet to store your luggage. The window has a view of the koi pond in the side yard. Harlow room can accommodate a third person for a $50 fee per night and will include a rollaway. The property is surrounded on three sides by the Jane Coates Wildflower Trail with a view of Lake Erie in the Spring and Fall seasons, through the trees and across the street. When the sun sets you should really sit out on the front stoop to watch it, or run over to the South Bass Island State Park-what a spectacular view! Guest access Guests have access to a private bathroom across the hall from the bedroom, the shared space in the Breakfast Café, kitchen, the back deck, living room, the backyard, and access to Jane Coates Wildflower Trail. Need to use the washer & dryer? Just ask! During your stay Through a mother and daughter vision, Marisa bought this lovely 1887 home in 2017. Together, they have been slowly renovating, making changes and creating a space to share with others for years to come. Linda can be found walking over with her puppy, Riga, to garden or simply to say "hello". Marisa’s dad, Rudy, comes over daily to feed the fish. Kristen, has been helping at Yellow Tree for years and might be seen cleaning rooms or accompanying her daughter to a summer program for kids. Other things to note All guests use the back door entrance. You're treated like a neighbor here and the shared space is everyone's. Some guests will rise earlier than others, while some guests will retire later than others. It's island time! We have another Airbnb space available to reserve in our apartment above the garage behind the house. The fire pit is a shared space with them. Cell phone service is hit or miss on our corner of the island, we recommend turning on wifi calling. There is a house phone for local calls and emergency's.
