The space The Old Eggroom was originally the sorting and packing room for rare eggs on this working farm. This stylish studio holliday cottage has everything you need for the perfect weekend away or short break in the Cotswolds. Less than 2 hours fom London and one hour from Bristol the Old Eggroom is located at the heartof the Cotswolds. At the head of the Slad valley, made famous by Laurie Lee's book; Cider with Rosie. This idyllic part of the world has changed little since his time. The walk to his favourite pub, the Woolpack in Slad, takes an hour and half through glorious and unspoilt Cotswold countryside, or you can drive in under 10 minutes. Guest access The Old Eggroom has it's own entrance and is self contained, with a gravelled area in front to sit outside. Other things to note Although completely separate, with its own entrance, there may be other people in the same building. You won't be disturbed at all but you may occasionally be aware of others. There is a working yard in front of the Old Eggroom, about 30 yards, away so although the view is fantastic there will be some coming and going. Please note that the washing machine available is in a separate building, in a shared space. There is an additional charge for using it, on a per load basis. There is no tumble dryer available but we can provide a drying rack for guests to use in The Old Eggroom.
