Old City Apartment

Entire, comfortable apartment for 1-6 persons in a historic building in the heart of the Bernese Old Town. Private bathroom. 10 minutes walk to Bern main train station, 5 minutes to Zytglogge and the Einsteinhaus; seconds to dozens of shops, restaurants and the Bernese night life, but also only 5 minutes to the Aare, or the famous Bear park. The apartment has 2 separate parts (see below for details). There is no elevator. The space * super-central location in the heart of the beautiful Bernese Old Town (“She is the most beautiful we have ever seen", Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote about Bern in a letter to his girlfriend) * the 2-bedroom apartment is on the 2nd floor of a beautiful historic building and has wood parquet flooring. Besides the living room facing to the North, it has a bedroom and a separate kitchen area facing the inner courtyard. * Bedroom: the quiet bedroom has a daybed (in 80x200cm single or 160x200cm queen-sized configuration). Quiet nights are guaranteed, and light-proof curtains ensure dark nights too. * The living room has a 160x200cm queen-sized bed and another daybed (in 80x200cm single or 160x200cm queen-sized configuration), that is used as a sofa during the day. * Kitchen & Bathroom: the kitchen and the bathroom are located outside of the above-mentioned part of the apartment, and can be reached through the common stairwell. Still, they are a private part of your apartment which only you can enter. The kitchen offers a fridge/freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and water kettle - and of course a dining table for up to 4 persons (extendable for up to 6). * WiFi, coffee and tea are included in the price of the apartment * the Bern ticket for free public transport in the city of Bern is included Guest access Private bathroom (sink, toilet, shower) and a small private kitchen Other things to note The apartment has 2 separate parts: A) the living room and bedroom, B) the kitchen and bathroom. These parts are not connected, so the kitchen/bathroom are OUTSIDE of the main apartment, right across the common stairwell of the building. The kitchen/bathroom are also private, however, and not shared with other people. There is no elevator in the building and only a narrow (round), steep stairwell.
