Description

Centrally located, beautiful apartment in a renovated 19th-century building. Perfect for design lovers and those wanting to indulge in the creative energy of the Polish capital. It exudes charm and tranquility offering guests a serene retreat in the heart of Warsaw. Our philosophy is to propose you a home far away from home. We are more than excited and privileged that our quests admit and appreciate it. The space APARTMENT This 50 m2 apartment consists of a living room with an open-plan kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Its design seamlessly combines modern architectural solutions with the building’s historic character. Furnishings include vintage mid-century Carl Thore lamps, restored 19th- and 20th-century antiques as well as contemporary Polish design pieces (e.g. TAMO, IDEEËN). We have designed this apartment “for ourselves”, paying attention to every detail and using top-quality materials. The apartment is perfect for a city break to Warsaw. It's one of five apartments in the staircase, so the conditions are very intimate. My wife Edyta and I are Warsaw natives, born and bred, but travelers by passion. We fall from one journey to another, from very close to quite distant. We have always been looking for places with soul, atmosphere and authenticity. With the smells, tastes and features of local places, also in large cities. Now we offer our guests a place where we would like to stay in Warsaw. A BIT OF HISTORY The apartment is located in a beautiful neo-romantic building dating back to 1894, designed by renowned Warsaw architects Aleksander Woyde and Karol Kozłowski for Henryk Korwin-Krukowski, one of the founders of the Warsaw University of Technology. Luckily, the building survived the turmoil of the Second World War relatively unscathed, and in 1945, became the birthplace of the new post-war Paleontology and Geology Departments of the University of Warsaw. The building is located on Wilcza Street, one of the best known (yet intimate!) and best preserved streets in the city centre, inhabited by artists and Warsaw's intelligence. Despite some damages to Wilcza’s architecture during the Warsaw Uprising, most of the buildings survived the war and many have been restored in recent years. Get a feel of pre-war Warsaw off the beaten tourist track, and experience first-hand the local lifestyle in the heart of the capital! Guest access You will have access to all parts of the apartment. We do care about the easy check-in. The keys are always in the agreed place to catch up and we are always in contact with you. However there are some stairs leading to the apartment, they are wooden and historical, but totally renovated preserving their style and character and they are very comfortable. Other things to note We are passionate hosts with a personal goal - to showcase that accomodation in Warsaw can be not ony comfortable and chic, but also can be an oustanding experience in an old tenement house with a modern and designful touch. We do not forget about music which softens all moods. That is why you will find a good quality speaker Denon for a perfect sound to surround the space. As it has been said we are Warsaw lovers and we are more than delightful to give you a chance to stay in the heart of Warsaw, in our peacuful place but near vibrant and the most beautiful surroundings of the central part of the city.
