Durraside - creekside holiday cottage

Durraside is a light, comfortable well stocked home, located in peaceful woodland on the side of Gillan Creek. It is within a few minutes walk of a number of delightful coves and a short drive to a Manaccan, Helford Village and St Keverne where there are Restaurants, pubs a post office and shops. St Anthony, just across the water, provides boat/SUP/Kayak hire and a small shop for ice creams. Helston is a 25 minute drive and houses the nearest supermarkets and a high street. The space We are pleased to list our house on Air BnB and hope that you can create some wonderful memories much as we have done over the last 50 years! Families, couples and individuals have been experiencing ‘Durraside Magic’ for many, many years. In fact, our visitor books detail adventure, peace, kayaking, walking and, of course, romance! We sincerely hope you can create your own adventures at Durraside. This is definitely the place for you if you want a break away from it all, there is no better part of the county particularly on a sunny day! Situated on the cornish coastal path there are many walks in the area and slightly further afield is the Lizard which boast a beautiful rugged coastline with fabulous sandy beaches. The vibrant town of falmouth is a 40 minute drive where there is always something to do, especially during the spring/summer months, with the oyster festival, falmouth week and many other events happening on an annual basis. There is free wifi, amazon fire stick, DVD player, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, double oven/grill and hob, iron/ironing board, and a travel cot at request. The wood burner can be used with care ( the house is made of wood!!) but only starter logs will be provided. The larder is stocked with a small selection of non-perishable foods, please feel free to use but we would appreciate you replacing items. We haven’t added a cleaning fee to the listing as a means of keeping costs down for our guests. We would therefore be extremely grateful if you could leave Durraside as you found it! If you would rather pay a cleaning fee and not have to do this do let me know. Durraside is situated in a rural location and as you get closer the Cornish lanes get quite narrow! There are also a number of steps as seen in the photos, please ensure this fits with the idea of your holiday before booking! Other things to note The major supermarkets can deliver to the house.
