Former Viala Sheepfold – Silent Nature

The old Bergerie du Viala, 800 m above sea level, offers a comfortable and pleasant 80 m² accommodation, very cool in summer, composed of two rooms with mezzanine, with a sleeping capacity for up to 4 people, located on a one-hectare plot. The kitchen and the bathroom are equipped to meet your needs. The cottage is the perfect base for hiking (GR71C) in the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, on foot, on horseback, mountain biking, 1 hour from Montpellier. Pets allowed. The space The accommodation is located in an old sheepfold, dating from the 19th century, which produced sheep's milk to make the famous Roquefort; the sheep were housed there, as well as the horses and the dairy. Particularly cool and pleasant place in summer (20°c), a place of peace and quiet. Many exceptional sites to visit: 4 Gorges (Tarn, Jonte, Vis, Dourbie) and 4 Caves (L'Abeil, Dargilan, Bramabiau, Aven Armand) within 1 hour. Guest access The accommodation (independent) is located in the left wing of the house. Guests have direct access to the park, fully enclosed. Cool in summer (20°C) with large volumes, very pleasant between April and November with a fireplace, a quiet and relaxing place. In autumn, very beautiful brightness, mushrooms, chestnuts and a very present fauna. Other things to note Linens and towels are included in the rate. A continental breakfast, extra charge (€7/person). The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare and financially assume any possible damage for which they may be responsible.
