From here you can easily reach the architectural and landscape wonders that dot the Val di Noto, now declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site: From the lively Catania, the black pearl of the Mediterranean, where genius and creativity have been able to combine, in a refined bicromia, the dark tones of the lava stone with the whiteness of the white one of Comiso, giving life to that one of a kind flowered baroque. The nearby Syracuse, defined by the ancient historians " city in no less than Athens itself" will envelop you with the dazzling light reflected by honey-colored stone, with which the architectural wonders that characterize it were realized. Here among the alleys of Ortigia, which is the oldest center, you can abandon yourself to the thrill of strolling through the more than 2700 years of History that surround you. From our penthouse, you can reach Noto in just 15 minutes. the "stone garden", capital of Sicilian Baroque, with its city living room in which there are monasteries, churches, noble palaces, dizzying stairs that lead your gaze to get lost in the baroque capricks that, like stone lace, adorn the buildings...that the light of the sunset "flame" with its bright apricot color. Equally close are the very noble Modica, the capital of the ancient County and home of the Nobel laureate Salvatore Quasimodo and... of the famous chocolate! It will present itself as a mantle of ancient houses nestled on the slopes of two narrow valleys with a characteristic Y shape, traversed by hundreds of alleys and stairs, as currents among the rock, pervaded by the sweet scent of jasmine. Here you will be suddenly overwhelmed by the majesty and refinement of its matrices, San Giorgio and San Pietro and the timeless charm of the other hundred noble churches and palaces. Walking a few more kilometers, Ragusa ,the provincial capital, will present itself to you as a crib... Ibla will welcome you, peeking after the last curve, and will immediately enchant you with the nobility of the Cathedral of San Giorgio, soaring among the roofs of the ancient houses. Silence ,nature, art, history will have a lot to tell you. A little further south of Modica, a fifteen-minute drive from the penthouse, you can reach Scicli, now famous for being a privileged set of episodes of Commissioner Montalbano. Here, walking through the baroque masterpieces of the Via Mormino Penna, or climbing through the alleys that lead to the ancient matrix of San Matteo, between dry stone walls and caper flowers, will be an emotion to discover.
