The space This house is a Brooklyn brownstone, lovingly restored as a modern classic. It is one of the finest examples of this classic house type in the area. We have carefully furnished the space to give it the warmth and feel of a contemporary brownstone home, rather than a cold serviced apartment. The block itself is a super friendly community, so please enjoy and say hello to the wonderful characters in the block/neighborhood. REMOTE WORK READY - To accommodate the 'remote work' traveller, we have now set the place up for both work as well as play. Aside from kitchen counters and laptop tables for couches for work surfaces, we have two dedicated working desk areas so that you can get real work done. Internet is fast, gigabit ethernet for multi-device and enterprise use. We also provide two professional grade LG 27" 4K monitors (HDMI, USB-C, DP connection) and two 10" light rings for video conferencing lighting. COVID MEASURES: Covid-19 is real, science is real, and we take our responsibility as hosts seriously. We, the hosts are full vaccinated, as is the person who helps us reset the apartment between stays. The apartment is well-aired between stays, and cleaned whilst wearing a mask and gloves. Once cleaned, no one re-enters the apartment without a mask. Any interactions with guests is masked. We have wooden floors (no carpet), non fabric bed boards, leather sofa, removed any cushions and spare linen (guests receive a set, and additional sets on request) ensuring guests will enjoy an optimally sanitized home. The central air conditioning is completely independent for the building unit and dedicated for your space only. Guest access The entire ground floor property and basement is there to enjoy exclusively. The outdoor space to the rear of the house is divided by a flower bed. We invite our guests to enjoy the area under the deck, but to please not use the turfed outdoor garden space beyond it. Thank you for your understanding. Other things to note The house is a newly refurbished brownstone, which is nearly 100 years old. We have sound proofing throughout, but there is always some noise traveling in these beautiful old homes and we have a young family. >> Production Companies << We are happy to discuss using the property for shoot for indie/startup photography and web content videos. TV and feature films requiring street permits and disruptions to the block is another discussion. Our requirements: insurance coverage, a fee of $1,500 in addition to the nightly fee, and removal of all items/waste post shoot. Given current circumstances we ask that you book for one night beyond the days needed for the shoot, especially if you have an extended crew of people coming and going as we will leave the apartment to air 48 hours before cleaning.
