GANESH is a PRIVATE entire Villa situated inside 11.11 Bali Retreats, brilliantly located in the heart of Penestanan, just 5 minutes ride from UBUD center. Within a few steps from our entrance, you will find the best local restaurants like Zest, Tyger, ALCHEMY, Yellow Flower Cafe, and the best yoga studios in town, just around the corner. When you want to be one with with the gardens, you can open all of the doors and let nature breathe into you, and close. them when you prefer to to cultivate in your own energy and quietude. This completely private piece of paradise features a double balcony that overlooks the saltwater plunge pool and family temple, so you’ll be free to roam, lounge, and linger comfortably without disruption. Designed with the ‘heart’ at the center, you’ll find beautiful accents of vibrant red tones tracing the space, encouraging the free flow of loving energy all throughout. You’ll love soaking in the deep spa tub—large enough for two ;-)—and sinking into what very well may be the most comfortable bed you’ll every sleep (or play!) in. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen, and a separate studio space for extra guests, GANESH truly reflects beauty, bounty, and abundance. Take it all in, and you’ll wonder how you ever went without. We recently added a second bedroom that can be used as an office, ideally for longer stays when working remotely or for a family of 3 or group of friends. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The current daily rate does NOT include the use of the second bedroom located in the garden. If you wish to use the second bedroom there is a one time fee of $30USD to prepare the room + a daily fee of $30 per night. If you intend to bring a 3rd person, make sure to add it to your reservation as it also has additional charges to cover the costs of linens and services. GANESH is located inside the exclusive 1111 ALCHEMIST SPACE compound. There are only five private villas behind the 1111 Blue Door ;). You’ll receive a key to our front gate and to your private unit upon check-in. Other things to note FAQ “How do I get to/from the airport?" We offer an airport transfer service for a fee from Rp500,000. Alternatively, you can get a taxi from the 'arrivals' bay. The journey usually takes about an hour, depending on traffic. “Are the mosquitoes a problem in Ubud?" Like all tropical locations, Ubud has mosquitoes (non malarial) - All beds have canopys and insect repellant is on hand if needed. This is an Open air space which is totally fine....however if you are squeemish about occaisional Ants or Gechos this may not be the Villa for you. Some words about our AC ☺️🙏🏼 GANESH is a rare gem, it was built over 20 years ago, and as most of the vintage Balinese homes, GANESH had no system to control humidity and ventilation. During the last renovation in 2020, there was a great effort to maintain the unique original structure that allows our guests to experience the typical Balinese outdoor lifestyle. In an effort to please our most demanding guests, we added the best AC units on the market, yet due to the following explanation, the airconditioning will not work as expected for most folks used to modern homes. The open floor plan with wide windows and doors are meant to give the feeling of the typical island life outdoors, breathing the fresh air, and bringing in the unique sounds of Bali’s heart… Ubud. At most houses of this kind, and unlike overseas buildings, ceilings are high and walls have no insulation, the glass windows are thin and there is no rubber around the frames to contain the temperature inside. The living room downstairs has folding doors all around, if these doors are kept opened at all times, specially during a hot day, the cool air from the AC upstairs won’t do the job upstairs, and neither will cool down the living room downstairs. To keep the inside cool and fresh during the day, we suggest to keep all doors and windows open, and make rather use of the ceiling and portable fans in both floors. It isn’t until 5:30pm that we suggest to close all doors and windows to prevent mosquitoes from entering, as they become very active around that time. The AC in the bedroom is very powerful and it will work perfectly if ALL windows and doors are closed, but please understand that it is not intended to cool the downstairs area, if the doors are kept open, is best to use only the fans, as it will overwork the AC. Should you wish to sleep in a cooler room, we can offer you the spare glass room situated in the garden for an additional cost. Stray Dogs & Cats – Common across the island. While most are friendly, rabies is still a risk so please avoid touching or feeding them.
