"The Woolshed" at Picots Farm- offers you a comfy, quiet and spacious, self contained place to recharge. 25 minutes west of Warwick, on the Southern Downs. Enjoy the wildlife, birds and tranquillity. Take a break and slow down or enjoy the events & attractions throughout the Southern Downs. At the end of the day relax in front of the wood fire during winter or enjoy the starry nights by the fire pit in summer. Ask us about our local produce box available for Breakfast or Dinner. The space The Woolshed was built in the 1940's by Harry Picot, and was an operating Shearing Shed until the 1960's, the original timber posts and corrugated iron have been preserved - now a very cosy and comfortable space to enjoy. Warwick has great events such as Jumpers and Jazz in July, Morgan Park raceway, Horse events, Polocrosse and the Warwick Rodeo.. - Between Two Rocks Winery at Leyburn ( 30 min) has Live music & platters on Sundays- 30minutes west. - To the South the first Granite Belt winery is 45min away, with Stanthorpe 1 hr. - Our local - Sandy Creek Pub (Darling Downs Hotel) is 15 minutes towards Warwick- offering good pub meals, live music on weekends & a courtesy bus. Warwick has wonderful shopping, cafes and a mix of cuisines... Guest access You are free to wander amongst the old sheds . Photographers and bird watchers will enjoy themselves. Cook a BBQ on the deck. There is free on site parking- at your door. Helen is happy to take you for a walk up the hill- for the view, medium level walk. There is no WiFi however you can always hotspot your phone, or maybe being disconnected for the weekend is just what you need.
