Situated on a traditional working farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park. We offer 3 lovely cosy shepherd huts. Each hut has a double bed, storage, tables &chairs. There is a separate shared well-equipped kitchen & dining area, shower & toilet, outside tables & chairs are provided. Lighting is off-grid. Bedding is provided, each hut has a woodburner. The huts have amazing views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, a perfect rural retreat to get away from it all. This is a perfect location for you to relax, unwind and marvel at our countryside for a few days or a week or two. It is the perfect base from which to explore the area and enjoy the varied local action-packed activities. Or why not stay with us to visit Hay Literary Festival in May and June, just 15 minutes’ drive away, or book a few days to visit the Royal Welsh Show at Builth Wells in July? Brecon Jazz festival is also a popular date in the annual calendar! Our lovely shepherds huts and gypsy caravan-style hut are situated on a traditional Breconshire working farm with sheep, lambs, cattle all overlooking superb views of the mountains. This beautiful rural retreat is set in idyllic landscape between the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains and overlooked by Mynydd Troed rising to 2,000ft. You are within walking distance (1 mile) of Llangorse village and Llangorse Lake (Llyn Syfaddan), the largest natural lake in South Wales. Guest access We offer three lovely, cosy and well-insulated huts on the site, two are styled as traditional shepherds huts and the third is a colourful gypsy-style caravan. The half doors draw you into the light, decorated interior with gaily curtained windows letting in the sun. Each hut can comfortably sleep two people in a double bed and also includes a table, comfortable wicker chairs and a small cupboard for storage. For those cooler evenings and winter visits each hut has a woodburner to keep you snug. There is kindling available to buy from the farm next door in addition to eggs and apple juice (cash only). Please note the huts are off grid, whilst there is solar power to USB points for phone charging, there isn’t three pin plug power. The huts can be rented out individually (sleeping two) or as a group sleeping up to six. They are available for short stays (minimum two nights) or they can be booked on a weekly basis based on staying Saturday – Saturday. Other things to note Bedding, towels and tea towels are all supplied for your stay. Kindling and additional logs can be purchased from the farm next door if you wish you use the log burner. There is also Apple juice and eggs available to purchase from the farm - look in the wood store next to the brown gate.
