*Unique Stay* Escape the city and relax for a few days in this tranquil and unique geodesic cabin in the woods. Enjoy breakfast on the back patio under a canopy of trees, as the property backs up to national forest. Then roll your yoga mat out under the star window in the loft or cozy up with a book in this beautiful open-concept home that has everything you need. Spend the afternoon by Lake Cushman -- and if you're feeling adventurous, drive just 20 minutes up the road to Olympic National Park. The space The open layout of the cabin enables a unique group setting. With all living areas open, the dome creates a natural sense of inclusion. Snuggle up on the queen mattress in the bedroom or sleep under the stars on the futon in the loft. The 3/4 bathroom includes a shower and there is a washer and dryer to keep you ready to explore. I am constantly upgrading the cabin so small changes to the decor may occur. I will do my best to update the pictures accordingly. There are live plants in the cabin. Please refrain from watering them. I have stocked the cabin with games, puzzles and books so there is plenty to do if the weather doesn't cooperate! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the usual appliances/cookware. Enjoy the complimentary coffee/tea in the morning before you tackle the next adventure. The cabin has wifi but cell-service is intermittent. Although the cabin is only ten minutes up the hill from Hoodsport, this is enough to cause service issues. Guests should be prepared to enter the house with limited internet until they can connect to wifi. Dogs are welcome so bring your pup along for the ride! Please refrain from allowing your dogs to relieve themselves in the wooded area in the backyard unless you pick up after them. Please clean up after your pet and ensure your dog is leashed when outside. There are many other dogs in the neighborhood and bad interactions will ruin this great opportunity. Note that a $20 dog cleaning fee will be applied. Maximum 2 pups. Let me know ahead of time if you plan on bringing your four-legged friend(s). The cabin is well insulated and will retain temperature very well. During the winter months, I use space heaters on thermostats to keep the place warm. There is also an electric fireplace for added comfort. There is a propane fireplace on the back porch as well as a propane grill and an electric Traeger. Please follow local fire restrictions at all times but especially during the summer months. Absolutely no fireworks. The cabin is ready for any adventurers who want a unique place to recharge. It is situated in a division of the Lake Cushman community and as such, follows HOA rules. There are four private waterfront parks with boat ramps at the lakes which you may access with the included guest pass. You will find the guest pass hanging on the cork board in the entryway. Failure to return the guest pass will result in a $75 fee for replacement. All roads to the cabin are fully paved and maintained. During winter months, I strongly recommend AWD/4WD as the area does tend to get the occasional snow storm. In this event, the roads will get plowed but due to the isolated location, it may take a bit of time. The neighborhood has strict quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. Please refrain from backyard activities after quiet hours. There is a noise monitoring device that will alert me if extenuated outdoor noise is present during the evening. Please note that the front entrance of the cabin is under external surveillance for the safety of all parties. Also, please note that you will have the cabin to yourself but NOT the property. I reside in a mother-in-law suite attached to the garage when renting out the dome. You will have full reign of the cabin and the backyard and you won't likely notice my presence. Your stay will be unencumbered and I will keep to myself. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and yard. The garage and shed will be closed and are not for guests. Other things to note I rent out the house to help offset the cost of materials and upgrades. I am constantly refinishing and updating parts of the house in my spare time.
