Perfect San Rafael Studio Retreat

Our home; Your retreat The space Tucked into a beautiful neighborhood in San Rafael, this large, studio apartment, attached to the lower part of our home (2 adults, 1 teen, 2 cats upstairs) is located on a quiet street, walking distance to charming downtown San Rafael. Enjoy staying in a less crowded area, yet only a five-minute walk to busy 4th Street and a quick hop onto Hwy 101. Approximately 480 sq. ft., the main living area is separated from the kitchen and bathroom area by vintage French doors. The bathroom has a shower (no tub), large closet, and all amenities. Hardwood floors throughout, and a comfortable eat in kitchen. If you have stayed with us before you will notice that we have gone all electric. There is an induction cook top along with a deluxe toaster oven that can cook just about anything. Enjoy your morning cup in your private and tranquil brick patio with a table and chairs. Our apartment was renovated in an Eco-friendly method using Zero VOC paint, natural sealers and LED/florescent bulbs. We have an advanced hydronic space heating system, double glazed windows and well insulated walls and ceilings. Along with newly installed sprinkler system. Some things to note: this is an old home and we live upstairs. We will hear you and you will hear us and I always advise if you are sensitive to noise from neighbors and want absolute peace and quiet then please consider this. Guest access There is street parking with just a short walk up the stairs and brick path to the private entrance. **Please note that we are on a hillside and our street is STEEP and there are less than a dozen stairs to the front door of the apartment. Our guests tend to be surprise at how steep the street is so I always remind them when they book. If you have any difficulties with stairs or hills then this may not be the place for you. Let us know when you arrive and we will help you with your bags!
