Self Contained Cottage in Thames Ditton Village

Beautiful self contained 1 bedroom cottage in the grounds of one of Thames Ditton’s oldest properties. Superbly located next to the river with pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and village stores close by. Thames Ditton is a pretty village located close to Hampton Court, Surbiton, and Kingston Upon Thames and 30 minutes by train to London Waterloo. Go Boat hire is a minutes walk and the slipway to the Thames is opposite the house if you have your own paddle board/canoe. The space The cottage is self contained with its own entrance and patio garden. It is situated within the garden of the main house where we live but feels very private. The accommodation is semi open plan. The bedroom has a king size bed. There is also a shower room and a lounge with a sofa and table and chairs. There is space for basic food preparation including a worktop, microwave, sink, small fridge, (no freezer but ice can be provided on request) dishwasher, crockery, cutlery, Nespresso machine, kettle. (Note, there is no oven or hob) Breakfast items are provided for your first nights stay. Dietary requirements can be catered for. Please inform the host before check in. There are several dining options a stones throw away. The Old Swan pub is located on the river, across the road and Maisie’s Thai, is a minutes walk away. During the day there are several cafes and shops a 5 minute walk away. These include The Coffee Pot, La Fontana cafe, Nice Buns cafe,Thames Ditton bakery and Paulls Fruit and Veg and Budgens for provisions. There is parking for one medium sized car in our carport next to the property. Access to the cottage is through the garden of the main house. Please note that smoking is not permitted in the cottage or grounds of the property. Guest access Your accommodation is a private self contained cottage with its own patio. Please note that the owners live in the main house. Other things to note Please note: No smoking in the cottage or grounds of the property. There is no TV in the cottage. There are only basic food preparation facilities. (Ie Microwave, no oven or hob and a small fridge without ice compartment although ice can be provided on request) We have a parking space in our carport next to the property which is suitable for one medium sized car. Larger cars/small vans may be accommodated but please check in advance. Additionally there is free roadside parking and a carpark in the village, a couple of minutes away. We offer separate access to the property. A key will be provided to access the garden gate. We do not allow the use of disposable BBQs. Only guests who are named in the booking can stay. Please inform us if you would like visitors to the cottage. There is no washing machine in the cottage however a washing/drying service is provided for £10 cash per wash. There are a couple of small steps in the garden and a step into the cottage, therefore our property is unsuitable for wheel chairs. Much as we love them, our property is not suitable for babies, children, or pets. We have a cat, Shiva who may come and say hello!
