Coastal retreat, woodburner, walk to beaches & pub
Description
Bream Barn is a spacious dog friendly little house set within a pretty two acre garden, with open plan fully equipped kitchen/dining/lounge, woodburner, bedroom, huge shower, BBQ. Located between sandy Maenporth beach (10-15mins walk) & the pretty village of Mawnan Smith (also 10-15 mins walk) with cafes and restaurants within walking distance & a good pub. Short walk to Bream Cove, great for swimming. 10 mins drive to vibrant Falmouth. It is secluded, private & in a beautiful coastal setting The space Bream Barn is a private, eco friendly newly built barn with luxurious features - beautiful woodburning stove, stylishly furnished, with an unbelievably comfortable bed. It looks over a large private pretty area of our garden towards the sea. The shower room has an impressive large power shower. It has a private small gravelled area to sit outside and enjoy the distant sea/garden view and has a charcoal bbq. The south facing bedroom overlooks the garden, the French doors of the lounge open out on to the garden with views out to the sea. Its quiet & peaceful...... The barn is heated so it's toasty warm and has plenty of hot water. There is also the woodburner to make it extra cosy in the winter months! A beautiful retreat at any time of year in this gorgeous part of Cornwall. Guest access The parking is communal between the 4 properties but Bream Barn is private and for sole use. Access is via about 5 steps so regrettably it is not suitable for those in a wheelchair. Other things to note Bream Barn is in a peaceful coastal hamlet and forms part of a small number of barn conversions. We live here in the main house but have a total of 3 holiday rentals including Bream Barn. We have two very friendly dogs called Lulu and Margot who may greet you upon arrival. There are also peacocks that occasionally roam around our garden from the farm, and we also have free range hens. Dogs welcome but we do have some rules. The dog is never allowed on any furniture inc the beds, or ever left alone in the barn unless they are crated. The dog should be on the lead at all times when outside of the barn, especially in our garden because of the hens. We would also expect guests to clear up after their dog. The listing is marked as having Air Conditioning but it is in fact an MVHR system (mechanical ventilation heat recovery system) which constantly cleans and refreshes the air in the barn.
